2025 CHINA SEASONAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM - OPERATIONS INTERN OPPORTUNITY

The China Seasonal Internship Program is a 6-month program designed to provide a realistic career experience with the firm and exposure to top professionals across functions. Over the course of the program you will be provided the necessary training and also learn a great deal from your colleagues and teammates.

As an Operations Intern in the 2025 China Seasonal Internship Program, you will be expected to make a personal impact right from the start of the program. You will also get opportunities to meet senior colleagues and continue building your own professional network. You will develop essential knowledge and skills, and it is an outstanding first step towards building a dynamic, long term career with us. As an intern, you will gain exposure to end-to-end trade life cycle, including contracts and pricings, hedging using derivative products, storing commodities in global warehouses, physical title release and various trade settlement solutions, etc.

You will join our Corporate teams across Operations and Project Management. You will be engaged in related initiative end to end life cycle including but not limit to proof of concept, requirements, implementation and post implementation review and ensure each milestone to be delivered on time. You will be exposed with the opportunity to leverage digital tools and understand how FinTech can improve our process. You will be involving in 'how we do business.

Job responsibilities



  • Deliver cash management, trade finance, liquidity and escrow services that help clients manage their working capital and liquidity challenges efficiently.
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues, allowing you to understand a wide range of Cash and Trade Products.


  • Provide middle and back office operational support across all asset classes including equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities.
  • Provide all encompassing securities and derivatives processing, asset servicing, mutual fund and hedge fund administration, clearing, settlement and collateral management, vaulting and movement of physical commodities, reconciliations and billing support for clients and partners in over 100 global markets.


  • Support offshore physical commodities trading.
  • Interact closely with Sales & Trading based in Singapore and UK and Manage the relationships of Asia clients and vendors at an operational level.
  • Work on operational process improvement and digitalization.



  • Think out of box and apply strategic and commercial mind-set to resolve efficiencies.
  • Interact with technology and users cross border groups within the Firm to re-engineer process flows.


  • Facilitate regular Operations control effectiveness review, involving sample testing of process control, general control and regulatory reporting, offering challenging opportunities to deep dive of existing workflow and apply strategic and risk and control awareness to resolve deficiencies and raise suggestions on control improvements.
  • Interact with nearly all Operations BAU team, risk and control team, local team and APAC regional team within the Firm to understand process flows, identify gaps and work together on improvement initiatives. Even get to know how we leverage QA automated tools to identify gaps smartly.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in teams to deliver results
  • Highly motivated with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excel, PowerPoint and Word proficiency
  • Be able to work for at least 3 working days per week and last for 6 months
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4
  • Final year student with expected graduation of December 2025 through July 2026
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) is essential

Holding the permanent right to work in Mainland China is required

Relocation assistance for flight and accommodation will not be provided
