Key Responsibilities:
The Director, US Marketing, Endocutter Platform develops, leads and ensures execution of business plans and marketing plans to meet future needs and expectations. Responsible for leading a team of Marketing Managers and management of ~$420MM+ business comprised of ETHICON's Endocutter portfolio. Responsible for the development of annual brand and product marketing strategies and tactics supporting long term strategic plans. The Endocutter platform includes all Endocutter product segments and brands, as well as the surgical specialty strategy for Thoracic, Colorectal, Bariatric and Robotic Surgery. The Director will have oversight of Endocutter portfolio pricing, product launches, KOL Partnerships, contracting efforts, alternate channel exploration, account RFP, and conversion support.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures brand integrity by leading efforts across multiple functions and channels to grow the Endocutter platform.
- Assesses pricing ladder and contractual offerings for the Endocutter platform.
- Builds a robust execution plan converting competitive users to strategic Endocutter technologies.
- Management of key strategic brands that are essential to the growth of the Endocutter platform.
- Develops innovative strategies to drive product growth, protect unit share, and manage the lifecycle of multiple core brands across the portfolio
- Establishes and updates the value proposition as customer's needs evolve.
- Drives demand through execution focusing on evidence and claims to all key stakeholders.
- Implements and develops tactical plans by providing appropriate promotional materials.
- Explores innovative ways to drive awareness and demand for our key platforms.
- Monitors and controls budget; owns demand forecasting for assigned products, and analyzes financials within a brand.
- Works productively with external agencies and cross functional groups within the organization.
- Constantly brings relevant market insights through research in critical areas of the business.
- Develops new concepts and products, portfolio management and prioritization of new opportunities through financial modeling and gap analysis.
- Collaborates with the Marketing organization and other internal customers to implement strategic branding programs that support key growth franchise areas.
- Manages key agency relationships, including involvement in selection process, building relationships with agency management and agency evaluation process and review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required. MBA highly preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant business experience (Sales/Marketing) is required.
- 5 years Marketing Experience is strongly preferred.
- 4 years direct people management experience, with a proven track record of building and retaining high performing teams is preferred.
- Endomechanical surgical device experience is preferred.
- Marketing / Sales experience in soft tissue robotics is strongly preferred.
- Experience in building KOL relationships & networks strongly preferred.
- Experience developing brand strategy and positioning preferred.
- Experience preparing strategic briefs & business plans is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to navigate and achieve business impact across a highly matrixed organization is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of brand marketing, customer segmentation and marketing communications is required.
- Experience in customer selling and interaction is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, business insight, project management and organizational influence skills is required.
- Good interpersonal skills with emphasis on leadership, relationship development and influence management.
This position will be based in Cincinnati, OH and require up to 25% travel, US domestic.
The anticipated base pay range for this role is $146,000 to $251,850
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
