We need UI/UX designers who can translate these tools to our users with focus, passion, and high standards. Responsibilities:

• Develop understanding and empathy for our users on how they value and interact with our products and services

• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand unmet clinical needs and provide creative, thoughtful solutions

• Build concise, user-centric visions and journeys that form bridges between unmet needs and technical solutions

• Guide planning, scaling, documenting, and execution of Human Factors and UI/UX design activities in alignment with the regulatory and quality teams

• Own and deliver interactions and designs across multiple platforms (bedside, remote, web, mobile), from wireframes and storyboards to interactive and high-fidelity prototypes

• Integrate user feedback, user research, and product metrics into all designs to create clear, high-impact experiences that are welcoming and intuitive

• Develop strategies for new product submissions in accordance with FDA and other regulatory guidance in collaboration with regulatory team partners

• Contribute to UX vision and strategy, build strong relationships generating buy-in and operationalizing strategy across larger teams and timelines

• Maintain knowledge on current design trends and standards and how they apply to our products and our patients

• Experience the products and user groups first-hand by undertaking shadowing visits in clinics and practices, and through training on the devices

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Factors, UI/UX Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Human Computer Interaction) is required

• A minimum of 3 years of progressively complex UI/UX design projects for a medical device, healthcare technology, or related product field is required

• A track record of delivering UI/UX solutions for software or hardware products in a fast-paced, collaborative environment is required

• A mechanical aptitude and an affinity for consistency, color use, and typography is preferred

• Able to understand and distill highly complex technical solutions into clean, focused, and understandable solutions is preferred

• Expertise in prototyping-to-test and demonstrating interactions, flows and component functionality is preferred

• Experience representing work to a broader product team and other leaders where you clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts is preferred

• Able to provide deliverables under tight deadlines and with input from many senior-level stakeholders is preferred

• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite or similar interface design tool is required

• Experience working closely with Human Factors Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Industrial Designers is preferred

• Experience/exposure to FDA or EU MDR regulatory guidelines in Human Factors engineering is preferred

This role is based in Danvers, Massachusetts and will require travel internationally as well as domestically (~10%).
