Job Summary
The Scheduling Incoming Attendant for Ethicon San Angelo plays a vital role in the Ethicon Supply Chain from being the first gatekeeper of materials coming into the plant. He or she is expected to maintain a safe, orderly, organized, and efficient shipping & receiving process.
Duties & Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Facilitator and/or Manager and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Performs duties related to scheduling, scheduling warehousing, receiving, warehousing, material transfer, production handling, packing, freight handling and shipping.
- Inspect goods for defects and damages; Signs for and checks-in all incoming materials received against a packing list for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare all documents for incoming shipments.
- Organize Scheduling/Warehouse space/stocks and maintain inventories; Track inventory in appropriate system; Restock materials as and when required.
- Delivers all orders to the appropriate departments, vendors, or individual customer's real time.
- Responsible for maintaining Vault, Warehouse, and surrounding areas in compliance with housekeeping 6S standards and GMP requirements. Use cleaning equipment as required.
- Stages and stores raw material pallets; Pull, package and ship orders in a time-efficient and accurate manner.
- Receive and process for shipment Triclosan Patch dosing material.
- Operate powered industrial vehicles and maintain safety checklist in accordance to compliance and safety regulations.
- Use all ergonomic equipment and PPE provided for each specific job task.
- Notify supervisors of problems that are not resolvable; Resolve all other issues at the warehouse level and record date and actions taken.
- Follow all safety and standard work requirements for receiving warehouse, order-picking, and shipping operations.
- Comply with all applicable quality management system, environmental, safety and occupational health policies. (for example, ISO 13485, ISO14001 & OSHAS18001).
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
- For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications
- High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent skills, experience, or training.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with difficult situations and varying temperatures.
- Requires 2 to 4 years of related work experience.
- Computer skills associated with data entry, retrieving data and trouble shooting.
- Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal relation skills.
- Demonstrate ability to organize material efficiently; Able to operate a forklift or powered industrial vehicles safely; Excellent understanding of safety precautions and procedures.
- Must be able to understand and comprehend the following but not limited to: English language, Process specifications: Computer functions required to complete job.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to work and communicate well with others.
- Ability to give and understand instructions, both verbal and written.
- Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages.
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification for a pallet jack and any related training Define the minimum education and experience that would be required of successful candidates for employment in the job.
- Work in team environment behaving in a CREDO based respectful manner.
- Associate must be able to support 24 hours, 7 day a week manufacturing operation, with the ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Comply with all federally regulated programs.
- Adhere to J&J environmental and safety policies and guidelines.
- Associates are held accountable for production efficiencies, strict compliance with process specifications, company standards of behavior, compliance regulations/standards.
- Fully performs any other work/tasks/duties of a related nature as assigned by the supervisor.
- Utilize applicable software systems as needed for the job (e.g. ComplianceWire, JDE, SAP, ADAPTIV, etc.)
- Consistently meet required work performance targets, as applicable.
- Support LEAN and Six Sigma Initiatives.
- Must have good work habits (neatness, organizational skills, time management skills, etc.).
- Accurately complete records as defined within the job procedures (e.g. manual and/or electronic documentation).
- Must be willing to work with a team concept.
- Must have adaptable learning attitude and demonstrate flexibility to new policies and/or procedures.
- Consistently meet required Training due date targets.
- Must be willing to accept change and additional responsibilities and training associated with changes.
- Ensures departmental practices, work areas, and equipment is kept in a safe and orderly fashion.
- Cross train with other associates as required.
- Process customer orders through the various stages of the operation including picking orders for shipment, receipt verification, and other duties incidental to the process.
