Under the direction of the Senior Supply Chain Manager, he directs and coordinates all manufacturing activities and programs within the Engineering area. Responsible for participating in the development and implementation of transfer plans. Develops, maintains, and improves all Business Processes under your supervision. Participates in day-to-day operations with responsibility in the production of products at the lowest cost, consistent with quality control specifications and production schedules. Directs and coordinates activities of one or more engineering programs within operations, in support of production and / or in the development of new products for the Business Units. These programs may include Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Systems, Transfer Processes, Technology Development, Tools (Design, Manufacturing, Assembly, Procurement and Calibration) and Plant/Equipment Maintenance. Manages and works on problems of diverse scope where data analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors; selects methods and techniques for troubleshooting. Directs and coordinates Engineering Managers to reach production goals / NPI consistent with costs, high quality, profitability, and delivery times required. Interact with the New Product Development process to generate processes and introduce plans for new products. It gives direction and adapts the tests and recommends changes in the processes and designs. Directs, coordinates, and executes the principles of Project Management, methods, tools and techniques for effective planning, programs, organizes, controls, integrates and terminates projects with the required scope and time, either performing the activities personally or through subordinates. Individually you must demonstrate creativity, foresight, and ability to make judgments, anticipate and solve problems, generate programs to obtain objectives / requirements, organization / leadership in projects and develop standards and guides for technical activities.

• Ensures the right level of manufacturing, materials, and personnel.

• Develops all capital investment and operational expense budgets that support

• business needs. Provides analysis of variance and corrective actions.

• From alliances with marketing and sales provides improvements in products

• and responds to the needs of customers.

• He perfectly understands the precepts of the Quality System Regulations

• (QSR). It makes sure to comply with ISO and QSR regulations.

• Reviews and recommends changes to current policies and procedures as they

• apply to present business needs.

• Provides and establishes an appropriate climate for operation within the

• business unit through the implementation of projects related to continuous

• improvement and in compliance with regulations that apply to all aspects of

• the business.

• Make decisions based on an understanding of multiple departments and the

• relationship between them.

• Foster relationships by influencing the entire organization to unify criteria.

• Manages the operation to ensure the achievement of CIP and COGS

• initiatives.

• Understands and implements Signature of Quality (SOQ), Lean Mfg. and

• Process Excellence (six sigma) methods.

• Provides leadership to meet the challenges of Diversity.

• Responsible for the development and implementation of environmental, safety

• and health programs.

• Engineering Change Management

• Control of Product Design / Processes / Equipment.

• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management

• level

• Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental

• practices as applicable.

• For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all

• Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all

• resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and

• Company regulations, policies, and procedures

• Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS

Academic degree as a professional in Engineering or related Sciences. Master's

degree preferably.

• Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience preferably in Operations, Manufacturing,

or related activities, preferably in the field of medical products or the

pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of three (3) years at managerial levels

preferably.

• Who has knowledge about new product launches, building construction and start

of operations, knowledge about Quality Assurance requirements, GMP's, Safety

and Environment, building maintenance, planning and development of Finance

and Human Resources preferably.

• Experience supervising people with technical skills is required (3 years as a

minimum)

Bilingual English/Spanish

• Skills and general knowledge for financial analysis, budgeting, and costs

preferably

• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive complaints.

• Ability to write speeches and articles using original and innovative techniques

and styles.

• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations of

and the board of directors.

• Skills in the use of PC's and associated software, preferably knowledge of JDE

(JD Edwards).

• Project management skills: ability to lead teams in different locations executing

projects

• Technical skills, preferably:

1. Tool design.

2. Product/Process Risk Assessment.

3. Cleaning validations

4. Design and automation of Equipment.

5. Process development for NPD.

6. Interplant transfer.

7. Development and validation of test methods.

8. Lean and Six Sigma skills. (GB, BB, MBB)

9. Process Validation (Change Management)

10. Design Validation and Verification (Design Control)
