Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Orthopaedics Transformation Office Strategic Support, will shape execution strategy and global governance and support our Transformation Office (TO) in managing our global transformation. This candidate must understand and integrate the DePuy Synthes transformation strategy to facilitate complex problem solving in support of our transformation program execution. This position provides high visibility to senior leaders as well an opportunity to impact the formation of strategy, tactics, and execution on our most critical transformation business priorities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic, complex, and high-energy setting, able to support coordination and collaboration across the business in a fast-paced environment and have strong influential leadership capabilities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Senior Leader Engagement & Collaboration: this role will have the ability to influence our senior leaders in reaching agreement and leading senior level teams without direct authority. This role will work directly with senior stakeholders across the organization, as well as leaders within their organizations. Will prepare Orthopaedics Transformation Leader (OTL) for all Orthopaedics, Med Tech, and regional leadership team interactions.
  • Strategic Communications and Integrated Orthopaedics Transformation Narrative Development: this role must be able to synthesize vast amounts of data, perspectives, and other nuanced information into a clear, concise, and compelling story to help drive alignment across the organization. Communication audiences will include worldwide executive and external audiences.
  • Agile facilitator: this position will play a key role facilitating communication / transparency within a large cross functional team, sprint planning and sprint reviews in an agile framework, constant prioritization of work towards activities that deliver most value, and strategic problem solving while keeping DRIs accountable on sprints deliverables
  • Program Strategic Support Management: this role will support critical initiatives linked to the overall DePuy Synthes transformation and business strategy. These responsibilities may include leading and delivering on complex transformational & strategic projects; conducting relevant research, identifying insights and doing analyses; creating communication materials; designing and executing stakeholder engagement plans to drive alignment with senior leaders; developing pragmatic, executable strategies and leading the implementation of these; and being accountable for successful project delivery and demonstrated business impact.
  • Transformation Office Governance: this role will be responsible for supporting the OTL in setting agendas, working with teams to define issues requiring review by the various leadership teams and the timing for these reviews, tracking follow up assignments and ensuring appropriate resolution of open issues, summarizing meeting proceedings, setting a general calendar for the transformation office and performing relevant metrics reviews and meeting evaluations periodically
  • Support in the preparation of and engagements in external meetings on an as needed basis ensure delivery of follow-up actions.
  • Confidentiality: this role will be exposed to vast amounts of confidential data where absolute confidentiality is a must
  • Connector: this role will be required to connect across many functions / platforms and regions and will act as a sounding board for the transformation office.


Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred (MBA).

• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, R&D, Finance, or in house/functional leadership roles is required. Experience should embrace expertise on successfully leading critical-to-business initiatives such as product launches, KOL relationships, and driving and executing innovation projects.

• Proven track record and ability to lead cross functional projects, chartering and executing on business transformational projects that lead to significant improvement in our ability to execute on strategic mandate or create competitive advantages is required.

• Experience working in AGILE teams is required.

• Ability to influence and drive change, creating followership, enthusiasm and alignment is required.

• Global mindset advocate, Multicultural thinking is required.

• Focus on executing and delivering on commitments with high attention to detail is required.

• Ability to work independently, proactively, and with senior executives is required.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills is required.

• Must be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize projects and tasks. Attention to detail required.

• This position can be located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, West Chester, PA, Raynham MA, New Brunswick, NJ, or Warsaw, IN. This role may require up to 30% travel, including some weekend travel.

The base pay range for this position is $136,000-$234,140

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
