Role Overview

The role is part of J&J public cloud organization. You will lead to modernize backup, disaster recovery, and recovery solution on public cloud and on premise hosting solutions. The role will lead distributed team and will collaborate with multiple partners to develop modern recovery solution.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the global process and capability owner for Recoverability Solutions, continuously improving our capabilities by observing and evaluating industry trends
  • Develop, test and maintain cyber resiliency and disaster recovery playbooks
  • Drive self-service and automation for backup and recovery capability to support needs of application teams
  • Drive and implement standards to meet J&J security policies and compliance requirements
  • Optimize recoverability infrastructure to reduce cost and improve reliability
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure as a Service, Cloud Native Hosting, and Kubernetes Hosting services owners and define recoverability roadmap to align with hosting strategy
  • Own and lead internal and external audit to ensure recoverability solution meets compliance standards
  • Define quarterly objectives and key results. Prioritize roadmap and drive cross team alignment to ensure quarterly objectives are achieved
  • Lead Recoverability budgets and financial plan. Ensure objectives are met within budget and on time
  • Set and track operational recovery metrics and KPIs to improve performance, reliability, agility and data loss


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8 years of IT infrastructure experience, including 4 years of people management experience
  • Deep understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions in AWS, Azure, and on premises running enterprise applications such as SAP
  • Exercise independent judgment, technical problem solving and decision making

Preferred:

  • Experience in development using PowerShell, Python, Perl, and/or JavaScript
  • DR orchestration tools such as VMware's Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
  • VMware virtualization platforms
  • Experience working in a DevOps or Scrum methodology

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

    • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
    • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
    • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
