Position Overview:

The Sr. Manager of Learning & Development for Marketplace/Field Training in Oncology will collaborate with leaders in field sales, franchise teams, L&D, access and franchise marketing, the strategic customer group, health policy, and medical affairs. This role focuses on developing comprehensive learning solutions for the Area Business Specialists (ABS), Precision Medicine teams, and other customer-facing teams. The Sr. Manager will ensure that training aligns with franchise, health systems, sales, and marketing objectives. The role also involves overseeing the creation and delivery of progressive learning programs, leveraging marketplace knowledge and adult learning principles to enhance field team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership in Marketplace Training

• Lead Marketplace Training Programs:

o Create and manage comprehensive curricula including "The Business of Oncology," "The Business of GU," and other relevant programs to support field teams such as ABS and Precision Medicine. Ensure training content aligns with business priorities and prepares teams for effective customer engagement.

• Align Training with Business Objectives:

o Collaborate with Sales, Franchise, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Access teams to ensure that all training initiatives support broader business objectives and market demands.

• Marketplace Expertise:

o Continuously monitor the evolving healthcare marketplace, including reimbursement trends and stakeholder dynamics, and adjust training materials to ensure they are relevant and actionable for customer-facing teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Engage Stakeholders:

o Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Sales Leadership, Franchise Leadership, L&D, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to ensure training programs address current and future business needs.

• Collaborate for Impactful Learning Solutions:

o Work closely with Field Training Managers and other leaders to identify knowledge gaps and deploy targeted learning interventions that address marketplace and customer engagement challenges.

• Resource Optimization

o Collaborate across teams to optimize resources, ensuring efficient delivery of training programs while minimizing costs and maximizing impact.

Content Development and Delivery

• Develop Engaging Content with a Focus on Innovation

o Design and refresh learning materials that support different learning modalities (virtual, in-person, e-learning), incorporating cutting-edge technologies and platforms to drive innovation in the learning experience. Ensure that content effectively engages ABS, Precision Medicine, and other customer-facing teams.

• Facilitate Strategic Learning Sessions:

o Lead training sessions at key meetings such as New Hire Training, POA (Plan of Action), and NMM (National Meetings), focusing on business-critical topics such as clinical product knowledge, market access, and competitor trends, while utilizing innovative approaches and technologies.

• Monitor Training Effectiveness:

o Define and track success metrics (KPIs) to measure the impact of training programs on field performance. Adjust training approaches based on data-driven insights, using innovative learning technologies to continuously improve outcomes.

Project and Vendor Management

• Manage Projects Effectively:

o Oversee all phases of training projects, from inception to delivery, ensuring they meet compliance, business needs, and timelines. Lead vendor relationships, ensuring projects are completed within budget and deliver measurable ROI.

• Ensure Compliance:

o Maintain adherence to all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards, ensuring that training materials pass necessary reviews (HCC, iMR/CAC review process) before delivery.

Marketplace and Customer Engagement Expertise

• Stay Ahead of Marketplace Trends:

o Continuously evaluate marketplace conditions, reimbursement models, and healthcare ecosystem changes to ensure training materials equip field teams to engage effectively with customers.

• Customer-Centric Solutions:

o Ensure that training programs and educational materials are designed with the needs of customer-facing teams in mind, equipping them with actionable knowledge to meet customer demands and provide appropriate solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree.

• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry, with management experience.

• Ability to prioritize competing demands, balancing risk, impact, and importance.

• Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• This position is located in Horsham, PA and requires up to 25% travel

Preferred:

• Experience in training for customer-facing teams such as ABS and Precision Medicine.

• Experience in oncology or specialty therapeutic areas.

• Familiarity with multiple learning platforms, including virtual, in-person, and e-learning.

• Competency in Learning Excellence, Technology Utilization, Collaborative Partnerships, and Project Management.
