Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for a Sr Manager, WW Commercial Education, Robotics -to join the Robotics and Digital Solutions organization. The preferred location for this role is Santa Clara, CA. Some consideration may be given on a case-by-case basis for this role to be based out of Cincinnati, OH.

The Senior Manager, WW Commercial Education, Surgical Robotics is responsible for the development of a comprehensive training program for the internal teams commercializing J&J's surgical robotics technology. They will work closely with commercial leaders to develop learning continuums, learning strategies and deploy a global training program leveraging best practices in adult learning and use of technology. They will also metric and track effectiveness of the training program to implement continuous improvement. The Senior Manager will partner closely with colleagues in J&J MedTech Education, senior commercial leaders, as well as external partners to create the learning strategy and ensure a high degree of execution consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates the learning strategy and designs/develops learning programs to improve the clinical and selling proficiency of the global capital and clinical commercial / sales organizations.
  • Builds global learning continuums for prioritized product launches and ensures content is accessible to regional teams
  • Executes commercial education events to onboard and train new capital and clinical selling professionals.
  • Builds, executes, measures, adjusts Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs for regional partners to ensure seamless hand off of content for all learning experiences.
  • Leverage technology to bring high engagement, efficiency, and effectiveness to learning programs.
  • Develop and report to senior management an extensive set up metrics tracking education program efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the program meets safety and business objectives


Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. MBA or Advanced degree is preferred.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years in progressive Healthcare Commercial or education roles (e.g., Sales, Sales Training, Prof Ed, Instructional Design, Clinical / Medical Education, Marketing and/or Sales Management), or other applicable experience
  • Experience in developing technical training curricula content both for novices and experts.
  • Knowledge of web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques
  • Complex medical device sales experience
  • Project management experience
  • High technological and business aptitude
  • Proven ability to understand business strategy; translate it into MedTech Education solutions (Professional, Commercial and Marketing Education) that support the company's business goals
  • Ability to develop and lead a team with and without direct reporting responsibilities across a matrix organization
  • Excellent communication, analytical, conflict management, complex project management, people management and development skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Capital medical device sales experience
  • Previous experience as a people manager
  • Previous experience in Medical Device Education (external or internal stakeholder training)
  • Expertise in instructional design process; from needs assessment, design, development, implementation and analysis of training programs.
  • Using metrics and analytics to measure the impact of learning solutions
  • Proven ability to develop long-term strategy and successful execution

Other:

  • This position will be based out of Santa Clara, CA. or Cincinnati, OH. and may require up to 50% travel (International or Domestic)
  • The anticipated base salary range for this role is $118,000 to $203,550
  • For candidates based out of the Bay Area, CA the anticipated base salary range is $136,000 to $234,140
