Position Summary

The position leads the J&J Foundation Board Governance, Strategic & Business Planning processes, in partnership with GHE key leaders. S/he delivers transparent reporting across all of J&J's charitable giving. The role has oversight accountability for the governance of J&J's charitable Foundation.

Responsible for creating & maintaining effective systems and protocols delivering world class practices related to the effective planning and operations of charitable systems and networks, whilst adhering to all related regulatory requirements and ensuring that business requirements are met. The position collaborates with leadership to provide business advice in relation to Global Health Equity and J&Js philanthropic and corporate funding whilst ensuring excellence in execution, accountability, governance and quality.

Responsibilities

Planning, Control & Reporting Develop & deploy effective systems and workflow to support J&J's network of charitable giving. Includes GHE, wider OpCo giving and J&J Foundation. Provide leadership and education up and down the levels of the Enterprise aimed at increasing the knowledge on the requirements of J&J's social impact ecosystem. Lead and improve data capture, impact analytics and reporting across multiple charitable and enterprise platforms

Non-Profit Ecosystem Governance Responsible for building effective internal partnership with Health Care Compliance, finance, tax, and legal to ensure the efficiency, quality and regulatory compliance across all of J&J's Giving around the world. Ensure adherence to all related external regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership Lead the Team developing innovative collaborators delivering insightful knowledge that facilitates J&J's Social Impact

J&J Foundation Oversight of the J&Js charitable foundation, ensuring adherence to all external requirements including delivery of legal entity reporting, external audit compliance and tax reporting. Cash flow management with the effective movement of funds to approved beneficiaries for Grants, Impact Investments and Matching Gifts.

Strategic & Business Planning Lead the strategic and business planning processes for J&J Foundation and strong leadership role in GHE strategic business planning.

Other Duties include Management of strategic suppliers, training/support to J&J Foundation Board Members plus the wider J&J Enterprise as it relates to charitable giving, and benchmarking with external Charitable Foundations

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12+ years of proven experience in senior level related work, including: finance, charitable foundation governance, managing regulatory requirements
  • 5 or more years of people management
  • Strong analytics, ability to shape strategy and decisions based on complex data sets
  • Expert Excel for data analytics, and impact measurement
  • People leader with a focus on development and engagement
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment
  • Strong connector and collaboration skills required
  • Effective oral & written communication skills, including presenting to Executive level and Board presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to produce quality results in a high pressure, high visibility role
  • Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity and multiple competing priorities

Salary

The base pay range for this position is $173,000 - $299,000 USD

Bonus

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year - Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year - Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year - Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
