The position is a field-based role with regional scope, and preference may be granted to candidates who resides within proximity to major metropolitan cities within the West region.

The Regional Business Director (RBD), Immunology Autoantibody Diseases, is a key leadership position that will report directly into the Director of Marketing (DOM). The RBD is accountable to effectively lead, develop, and manage a team of District Managers (DMs) and Rare Disease Account Executive (RDAEs).

The RBD will create a high-performance work environment and culture where they build accountability at all levels in the organization through inclusion, empowerment, and collaboration. The RBD should excel at helping DMs and RDAEs adopt a competitive rare disease mindset, based on strong patient understanding and therapeutic area expertise. The RBD will also help sales teams prioritize the greatest opportunities and should be comfortable overseeing teams working in a variety of market situations. (i.e., multiple therapeutic areas, first-in-class markets, highly competitive markets, etc.).

The Regional Business Director will:

• Lead a team of DMs to maximize sales opportunities. The incumbent must be highly collaborative and be able to identify and prioritize opportunities using a rare disease mindset and aid the team in securing and applying resources and efforts to maximize results.

• Develop and execute an aligned business plan, customized to meet the needs of the business and brand strategies that deliver compliant product sales growth objectives by effectively addressing the unique needs and requirements of the customer and the marketplace.

• Collaborate extensively at all organizational levels with key internal partners (i.e., Brand Marketing, Strategic Customer Group, Commercial Excellence, etc.) as well as external stakeholders to identify insights that will inform brand strategy and facilitate positive business interactions.

• Hire, lead, motivate, coach, develop, and retain a diverse team of individuals who are skilled in the product, healthcare marketplace, and account management.

• Coach others to effectively convince internal and external stakeholders to build mutual alignment, adopt difficult positions, and achieve outcomes that are both customer-centric and company responsible. All responsibilities of the RBD are carried out with strict adherence to the J&J Credo and HCC guidelines.

• Set overall account goals and objectives and lead development and provide oversight of account metrics and business performance.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement

Required Skills and Experience

• At least seven (7) years of related experience is required with a minimum of five (5) years of cross-functional experience in key commercial roles (e.g., Sales, Sales Training, Marketing, Strategic Marketing, Access/Payer, Analytics or Business Development)

• Prior direct people leadership experience with a proven track record of hiring, leading, inspiring, developing, and coaching high performing, diverse teams

• Prior experience in sales as either a professional sales representative and/or District Manager

• Demonstrated commercial capabilities and success in prior commercial roles

• Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage digital tools like JET and sales analytics to drive focused effort

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Cross-functional experience beyond Sales and Sales Learning & Development, particularly in marketing and/or market access.

• Prior experience in rare disease, neurology, and/or hematology

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $142,000 to $244,950. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

    • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
    • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
    • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
