The 2025 Summer Intern Position will support multiple optimization projects across Innovative Medicine R&D ultimately helping to transform the way R&D operates. The candidate will be exposed to project management skills, strategies to optimize business operations, and cost saving tactics. The candidate will learn about the pharmaceutical R&D processes, communication and leadership skills, managing cross functional, continuous improvement, and stakeholder management in this role.

Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: You will support coordinating and overseeing various projects within R&D, ensuring that they are executed successfully and within the given timelines. This includes coordinating with cross-functional teams, tracking progress, and managing any potential risks or issues that may arise.
- Operations Strategy: You will support developing and implementing strategic plans to optimize the business operations. This includes identifying areas for improvement, streamlining processes, and ensuring that operational efficiency is maximized.
- Budgeting, Resource and Timeline: You will support managing budgets and allocating resources effectively to support the projects and operations within the Pharmaceutical R&D department. This includes making budget recommendations, monitoring expenses, and optimizing resource allocation to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
Required:
- Pursuing a studies in Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Pharmacology, Engineering is required.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now, or in the future (ex. H1-B). Students currently in the country on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT require future sponsorship for long-term employment.
- Candidate must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of the Intern assignment pursuing a bachelor's degree
- By start date, candidate must be considered an undergraduate sophomore or above
- Minimum GPA of 3.6 or higher
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the internship/co-op
- Ability to provide transportation to/from the work location
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills
Preferred:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are preferred
- Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while executing results
- Must be a self-starter works independently while contributing to the team goals
- Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired
