The Manager Supply Chain Data Asset Owner is responsible for liaising between the business/end users and technology systems development teams for business needs requiring technology-based solutions. The Data Asset Owner will identify and analyze business needs, conduct requirements gathering, and define scope and objectives. They will also influence (without direct authority) and recommend solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the global data management (data source, data quality) strategy for the end-to-end Advanced Therapies supply chain, including integration of new modalities, manufacturing sites and SC systems.
- Accountable for data asset life-cycle management related activities (Incident, change, performance, Adoption, periodic reviews)
- Partner w/ J&J Technology (JJT) and Digital & Data Science (D&DS) teams to define and deploy Integrated Data Standards with data source owners to deliver good data ensuring modeling scalability for the Digital Applications
- Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, V2V, Global Cell Collection, Commercial, and Clinical colleagues to document business requirements for digital & data solutions
- Partner closely with IT, Data Architects and Data Engineers to ensure platform approach to data architecture for all supply chain nodes, internal and external
- Ensure digital applications' documentation is handled, controlled, approved, and reviewed in accordance with site procedures to meet business needs and production schedules
- Continuously improve performance of the data governance and maintenance processes in continuous alignment with connected data management partners, data owners, and providers
- Own and steward data assets to ensure information is accessible, functional, safe, and reputable to user community
- Understand the GAP between business/functional needs and technical capabilities
- Define data asset quality rules and thresholds, as well as support the technical deployment of data assets
- Ensure existing data structures are used effectively by users and run efficiently
- Enable the organization to use business data to generate business insights enabling competitive advantage
- Strive for data excellence to build value proposition and outcomes for business domains
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor's / University or equivalent degree is required; degree preferred in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science field, or other equivalent fields
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience
- Supply Chain experience and an understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes & procedures
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, BI Tools (Tableau), and/or Data Transformation tools
- Experience and solid understanding of data integration, modeling, and relational databases
- Proficient in clear and effective communication (verbal and written) for all levels of the organization, with the ability to summarize and present results
- Ability to foster continuous learning and development environment through effective feedback, self-awareness, and sharing lessons learned
Preferred:
- Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry experience
- Building data strategies
- Experience with Manufacturing Systems in a GMP environment (e.g., SAP, MES, LIMS, DCS, Cloud, and/or Data Lake)
- Good technical foundation, including familiarity with building web-based Business Intelligence (BI) and business automation solutions
- Broad knowledge of Business Intelligence and data warehousing concepts, tools, and/or architectures
- Proficiency with Programming languages (SQL, R, Python, etc)
- Experience with or understanding of Agile methodology
- Experience, training, and/or certification in Project Management (e.g., FPX, PMP, or equivalent)
Other:
- May require up to 10% of domestic or international travel
- Requires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on-site a minimum of three days each week, with the option for two remote workdays each week
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $100,000 to $172,500.

- The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
