Position Overview:

The Manager, Global Education Strategy & Content Development for Joint Reconstruction, will be responsible for developing the learning strategies, content, and programs for our commercial organization as well as for our external/clinical customers in the United States (US), Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific (ASPAC) as well as Latin America (LATAM). The Commercial Education strategy and content will elevate the competencies of our field-based organizations and ensure a high level of global consistency. For Professional Education, this role aims to set the industry standards for creating a learner journey from awareness to mastery using innovative blended learning strategies, enabling successful adoption of Johnson & Johnson MedTech Joint Reconstruction implants, technologies and technique in the relevant global markets in collaboration with Marketing, R&D, Sales Leadership, Healthcare Compliance, and other functional partners, as well as the respective regional education teams for effective and consistent execution.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional and commercial leaders to understand global and regional business strategy and commercial models
  • Craft end-to-end clinical and skills-based learning strategies and curricula design for our current and future Joint Reconstruction and Enabling Tech portfolio
  • Develop educational content and assets across a wide range of mediums (online courses, video assets, VR/AR, hands on training protocols, teaching aids, simulation tools, etc.)
  • Lead external contractors and vendors to support content build according to project timelines and budgets
  • Collaborate with regional education and commercial partners to ensure global consistency, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Develop content and strategies to effectively utilize the online platforms of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, such as Johnson & Johnson Institute, SUMMIT, Learner Experience Platform (LXP etc.)
  • Collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders and digital learning teams to develop and drive educational event formats for face-to-face and virtual channels, including VR/AR, simulation, webinars, telementoring etc.
  • Evolve and execute global train-the-trainer programs to support global expansion of Joint Reconstruction and Enabling Tech portfolio
  • Actively own and manage asset life cycles by ensuring all learning content is current, copy approved and compliant with all requirements
  • Create user friendly asset library to ensure global access to content. Identify and evaluate trends in learning media and technology-based performance development solutions to maximize effectiveness and innovation of training programs


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of medical device experience

PREFERRED:

  • Experience working in a commercial function (field, sales, marketing, etc.)
  • Experience as an orthopedic/medical device educator
  • Experience translating business strategy into educational solutions (Professional, Commercial and Marketing Education) that support the company's business goals
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering educational content for virtual, in-person, internal and/or field-based/HCP audiences
  • Experience using and/or implementing modern educational technologies
  • Experience in technology-assisted surgery and/or capital equipment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS:

REQUIRED:

  • Strong clinical expertise in Joint Reconstruction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading projects or initiatives
  • Aptitude for practical problem solving
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, ability to self-direct and self-govern
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality educational content on time and in budget
  • Ability to collaborate and lead across functions, job levels, and a matrix organization
  • Ability to effectively create and deliver presentations to a variety of audiences including learners, colleagues, and senior leaders
  • Purposeful orientation aligned with passion for providing the best patient care possible
  • Ability to adapt to and deliver in a dynamic work environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills that include professionalism, maturity, and a team mentality
  • Genuine interest in ongoing professional development of self and others
  • Proficiency with MS Office and virtual meeting applications

PREFERRED:

  • An in-depth understanding of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech Joint Reconstruction product portfolio including enabling technologies
  • Experience in technology-assisted surgery and/or capital equipment
  • Experience working in a commercial function (field, sales, marketing, etc.)
  • Experience as an orthopedic/medical device educator
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering educational content for virtual, in-person, internal, and/or field-based audiences
  • Understanding of selling strategies
  • Ability to process complex situations with opposing inputs and decide the best path forward

OTHER:

  • This position will ideally be located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, however, Raynham, MA, Warsaw, IN, and remote work may be considered
  • Requires a mix of domestic and international travel up to 30%

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $100,000 to $172,500. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
