JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for coordinate day-to-day activities and assembling and/or producing products according to detailed manufacturing processes required to process Finished Goods according to established specifications. Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines. Responsible for supporting manufacturing processes by implementing all aspects of process improvement, equipment setup, testing, documentation, problem correction and related tooling.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

• Coordinates and leads day-to-day activities in the production manufacturing area as necessary, in alignment with immediate or direct supervision.

• Monitors assigned area and reallocates resources as necessary to meet schedule requirements within the department.

• Ensures training adherence and on time completions for the shift.

• Escalates major safety, quality or equipment downtime situation to the shift Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.

• Executes and monitors manufacturing processes according to operational procedures.

• Establish priorities based on production schedule.

• Verifies and interprets parameters to ensure compliance.

• Participates in Kaizen events to work on projects focused on process development and/or improvement, cost controls and new product manufacturing.

• Delivers department outputs daily for assigned shift.

• Updates supervisor on work status or problems.

• Assists in modifying procedures to improve equipment operation or processes.

• Follows simple testing protocols and documents results.

• Assists with manufacturing phase in of new products or product changes.

• Reports safety issues to supervisor.

• Supports projects

• Maintain WIP to ensure targets will be met.

• Fills requisitions, work order, or requests for materials, tool, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.

• Accountable for adhering to and enforcing all quality and safety guidelines. Identifies and elevates all immediate and potential quality, safety, or environmental issues (material, procedure, and process) as observed.

• Provide training to new employees or other team members as requested.

• Abilities to interact with different functions and departments.

• Maintains an updated and current training record and adheres to training timelines.

• Participates in Safety initiatives and programs by either joining Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) or reporting unsafe practices/conditions to shift/team leader.

• Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to next management level

• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

• Demonstrate independent understanding and application of core GMP fundamentals, including but not limited to: Data Integrity (DI), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).

• Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Associate's degree or equivalent preferred

• Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

• Demonstrate sound judgment and a full understanding of Company GMP/ISO requirements.

• LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ø Ability to read and comprehend procedures in English.

Ø Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Ø Ability to read manufacturing blueprints.

• COMPUTER SKILLS

Ø Basic computer skills, including Windows Operating Systems and applications or equivalent are required.

Other Additional Requirements:

• Available to work on weekends.

• Ability to work in a controlled manufacturing environment (CME).

• Ability to wear CME gowns.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Flexibility to cross train to other departments according to business needs

LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• Primary location of this position is Irving, TX.

• This function cannot be performed remotely.

• Travel is not anticipated for this position.
