We Are Looking For
The Head of Supply Chain, Robotics Platform is a key leadership position reporting to the Global Head of Supply Chain Robotics. This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply chain for the robotics business platform. The successful candidate will play a crucial role as part of the Platform and Supply Chain Robotics leadership teams. They will oversee the Engineering and Manufacturing team, as well as an extended team consisting of quality operations, procurement, planning, and finance. Strong collaboration and partnership skills are essential, as this role requires working closely with R&D, Global Strategic Marketing, Product Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Finance.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities
1. Develop and deploy the overall supply chain strategy for the robotics platform covering capacity, cost, quality, talent, and scalability.
2. Ensures that the strategy and execution within the platform aligns with the overall Robotics Supply Chain strategy.
3. Lead a team of professionals and wage associates to deliver strong quality, robust business results, great customer service, and outstanding talent development.
4. Owns the Business Plan and Strategic Plan for the Platform Supply Chain and ensures alignment with Global Supply Chain strategy and Business unit needs.
5. Own the End-2-End financials for the platform Supply Chain, as well as all aspects of COGs.
6. Own scaling of new product launches and ensure profitability for all products in the platform Supply Chain.
7. Ensure the cross-functional team's work is prioritized and resourced based on business priorities aligned with business needs.
8. Owns talent strategy and talent development for the team.
9. Drive alignment with commercial and R&D leaders.
10. This role requires a diverse supply chain background with demonstrated End-2-End business acumen, with experience in people management, managing engineering and manufacturing teams, and launching new products.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in technical background, such as engineering, science, or supply chain.
• Experience in at least two of the following: capital equipment, robotics, or cardiovascular manufacturing business solutions with expertise in scaling high & low volume products.
• Advanced skills in engineering manufacturing, NPI, OPS, and Project Management
• 10+ years in positions of increasing responsibility in supply chain and R&D.
• Exposure to supply chain and manufacturing across a combination of functional areas (i.e., operations, plant management, procurement, planning, business excellence, and R&D).
• Exposure to global contract manufacturing selection and management
• Proven ability driving operational excellence and continuous improvement efforts in supply chain.
• Proven track record creating organizations future vision and strategy, gaining support and alignment around it and then drive it to execution.
• Experience working in a complex matrix organization and achieving results through leveraging internal and external partners.
• Proven track record of identifying and developing talent and building strong high performing organization.
• Experienced in people and change leadership.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present complex information.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement in the organization.
• Worked in FDA or highly regulated environments
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
• Must live in or relocate to San Jose area within two months of hire.
Preferred
• An advanced degree, such as an MBA
• Experience bringing electromechanical products to market
• Advanced capabilities in manufacturing operations and strategy
• Experience in the medical device industry with 510k and PMA products.
