Key Responsibilities:
The Manager is responsible for proposal development, design and programmatic implementation of GHE grant programs executed in Europe and Globally. This individual acts as a strategic advisor to the business to shape and deliver comprehensive plans, inclusive of, but not limited to:
- A portfolio of programs (charitable contributions, educational grants, other investments) created with external partners.
- Support development and sustain a comprehensive portfolio of grants that support Healthcare Workers and deliver patient impact. Steer cross-functional collaboration and nurturing relationships with selected partners.
- Collate metrics tracking across portfolio of partners, supporting achievement of GHE Impact goals.
- Develop and help maintain external partnerships, collaborating on grant proposal development with potential program leaders and guiding grantees toward objective completion.
- Serve as a resource to the Global Program Delivery and Impact team, providing perspective on opportunities to support nurses and community health workers.
- The position requires leadership, focus, management expertise, personal initiative and excellent relationship building skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead grant-making efforts and supports Program Delivery and Impact team developing relationships with external partners.
- Review and assess grant proposals against established criteria and develop recommendations.
- Lead efforts to update/develop documentation of key processes and identify opportunities for improvement/efficiency.
- Ensure approved proposals are executed timely against agreed-upon budget and manage grantmaking IT system, CyberGrants.
- Develop project plans to operationalize and monitor existing grants' performance, KPIs tracking & reporting.
- Review progress reports submitted by grantees and work with them to ensure completeness and accuracy based on clear definition of success, measurable goals.
- Analyze information received from internal and external partners to determine significant performance drivers and obstacles and identify activities/strategies needed to keep grant programs on track to fulfill agreed-upon deliverables.
- Implement consistent processes and operational excellence across social impact portfolio of programs - Governance, Internal Awareness, and Capability Building.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 6years of experience in project management, community development, social innovation, or business development.
- Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities with results-focused mindset, willingness, and ability to work across internal teams and cultures and with grantees to deliver results.
- Experience and success as autonomous project leader with complex, multifunctional, and multi-divisional considerations.
- Strong process orientation with superior project management capability to influence and align the thinking of others at senior levels.
- Deep and current understanding of local ESG/Social Impact trends, knowledge of what is material to J&J stakeholders, and good grasp of J&J's record of achievement in these areas.
- Strong critical thinking, negotiation and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex subject matter into clear and compelling proposals, documents and presentations.
- Superior problem-solving and planning skills with ability to prioritize, strong attention to detail, self-motivation and a commitment to a culture of collaboration and learning.
- Flexibility and ability to successfully navigate ambiguity and succeed in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization.
- Knowledge of teamwork and relationship building skills to influence and collaborate across multiple levels, cultures, and functions across international markets.
- Consistent demonstration of professional maturity and ability to work independently and reach consensus with highly visible external partners. Proven success in developing and managing strategic partnerships that have driven business growth.

- Mastery of using Excel (pivot tables, data analysis) and Powerpoint development for Senior Leadership team.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is 99000 to 170200.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

- Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year

- Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
