Position Summary:
The Global Head of Data Sciences, Operations and Strategy (DOS) for Therapeutics Development and Supply (TDS) will have overall strategic and operational responsibilities including Data Sciences across TDS and will serve as a key partner to the SVP, Global Head of TDS. TDS is the Multi-Modality (Synthetic, Biologic and Cell & Gene) Pharmaceutical and Process Development organization within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, operating across multiple regions (NA, EMEA, and APAC).

This role will directly and indirectly (through matrix relationships) lead a team of operational professionals providing leadership, mentorship, and career development opportunities. This role will be responsible for future capital planning, innovation strategy, budget, resourcing and timeline commitments for operational activities, including facility design, renovations, and upgrades.
The Global Head will participate in cross-functional initiatives and in the broader Digital, Strategy and Operations ecosystem to simplify and align operational best practices, and further advance enterprise-wide strategic directions with bold objectives.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning
The role will partner with the TDS Global Leadership team to define and update organizational strategies and translate them into operational planning while driving continuous improvements. The role will be responsible for the harmonization, simplification and improvements of related business and operational processes between all teams and will partner with the TDS Leadership Team to develop, monitor progress, deliver and communicate TDS's short and long-term strategic Goals & Objectives.
- Consolidation of TDS financial budget
Develop and implement effective capital expenditure strategies (Capex), in alignment with overall organizational goals and budgetary constraints. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Compliance & Training
The role involves overseeing the TDS compliance and driving initiatives for improvement. It serves as a liaison between the TDS teams and the QA organization, facilitating communication and ensuring that compliance standards are met.
- Digitization, Data Sciences, Digital Transformation
Enhanced data capability throughout the organization, driving for real-time analysis and insights access, to increase lab productivity with data flow automation & self-documenting experiment; Enable "Best Product and Process at Launch" with process analytical technology, robotic automation processes & modeling/AI/ML; Establish efficient & reliable digital clinical supply manufacturing.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A scientific degree (Master's/PhD) paired with 10-15 years of industry experience that bridges science with strong business acumen.
- Knowledge of CMC sciences and business.
- Strong organizational skills related to data management.
- Proven leader of complex initiatives.
- Demonstrated success at developing highly collaborative and effective relationships in complex, highly matrixed organization.
- Ability to present and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across various levels in the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead the execution of strategy and business transformation and initiatives.
- Experience in assessing technology, external environment & R&D process requirements to successfully drive operational productivity, strategy optimization, process improvements and efficiencies.
- Demonstrated experience with Program, Project and Financial Management.
- Ability to translate data into information and strategies into executable action plans.
- Successful change management experience.
Location:
The position can be based in Spring House, PA; Beerse, Belgium. Flex work arrangements or location at other major J&J sites may be considered.
This role requires ~20% domestic and international travel as needed.
The anticipated base pay range for this position in the US is 212.000 to 391.000USD
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
