Position Overview:

As the Finance Team Lead for Gross-to-Net (GTN), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accounting process of rebates, free goods, and other items within GTN, ensuring accuracy in our total company revenue. You will serve as a Financial Advisor to Business Unit Finance Partners, delivering critical insights to drive informed decisions regarding forecasts and BvA analysis. In this leadership role, you will lead a team of two (one professional and one contractor) and oversee the consolidation, communication, and analysis of total company GTN results, trends, and variances. Your expertise in GTN and partnership with key stakeholders in Market Access and BioAdvance will contribute to optimizing company value and protecting our gross margin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of two professionals to execute GTN responsibilities effectively.
  • Consolidate and communicate total company GTN results, analysis, and trends for all Canadian products to Finance (CFO & Staff) and Business Leadership (VPs and Directors).
  • Focus on GTN, related reserves, deductions, and allowances, ensuring optimal management to drive company value and understanding of variances.
  • Manage Gross to Net financial controls, including review and approval of monthly true-ups, balance sheet reconciliation, SAP auto rates and advanced analytics across all brands.
  • Partner closely with Base Business and Immunology finance teams to ensure accurate accounting for reimbursement of products.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for creating efficiencies within the GTN process, streamlining workflows, and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Manage strategic planning, capital spend planning, budgeting, and supervise month-end closing for the BioAdvance business unit, which develops patient support programs.
  • Support ad hoc projects, processes and requests as required including projects to help identify, plan and execute cost savings / avoidance and process improvement projects.
  • Ensure that the principles and elements of the J&J Credo, business policies, Healthcare Compliance, Regulatory, GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley are adhered to in all aspects of the role.
  • Collaborate with Global Services (GS) and Finance Business Partners for month end closing process, including input on business specific reserves and operating expenses.


Qualifications

Education

  • University degree coupled with a qualified accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CGA).

Experience and Skills

  • 7+ years of progressive and diverse experience across finance and accounting functions, with Sales & Marketing Finance experience required.
  • Deep understanding of the Canadian pharmaceutical reimbursement industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in effectively managing a team of finance professionals.
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence senior Finance, Marketing, and Access business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for delivering complex financial analytics and insights to senior partners.
  • Resourceful and independent, excelling in a challenging environment with high change and complexity.
  • Solid grasp of accounting principles and ability to uphold a strong compliance environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong PC skills; SAP experience is an asset.
