Description:

As an Engineering CoOp, you will play a vital role in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for surgical needle production. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading projects to innovate process technology, improve reliability, or increase capacity
  • Providing written and oral reports on process performance
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives in your assigned area
  • Supporting the implementation of new processes and process modifications
  • Performs activities of process/product validation.
  • Knowledge of process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and familiarity with statistical analysis, preferred.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Requires fluency in Spanish and English; must have excellent ability to write in English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Visio and Minitab knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Ability to assess issues and opportunities, establish priorities, and act with a sense of urgency.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 0 - 1 years of relevant experience
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to apply them with initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant applications.
