Description

The Office of Technology at Leidos is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to support our Digital Engineering Leads in the development, deployment, and optimization of digital engineering solutions across the enterprise. As part of our team, you will work across various technical disciplines to assist in implementing digital engineering processes, tools, and methodologies. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career by contributing to high-impact projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge engineering practices. This is a fully remote, dynamic role where you will work closely with Subject Matter Experts across the business to align digital initiatives with corporate objectives and capture them in the Leidos Capability Architecture. We're seeking a candidate with exceptional communication and collaboration skills to join this high-performing team. Position leveling will be adjusted to appropriate level of experience of selected candidate.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Digital Engineering Lead in the design, development, and integration of digital engineering tools and systems.
  • Support the development and maintenance of digital threads and digital twins, helping link analytical and engineering tools.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including systems engineers, software developers, and solution architects to ensure project goals align.
  • Contribute to the modeling, simulation, and analysis of systems throughout their lifecycle, supporting design, testing, and validation efforts on multiple high-priority programs.
  • Aid in process improvement initiatives by researching emerging digital engineering technologies and providing recommendations for integration.
  • Document technical solutions, workflows, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and adherence to standards.
  • Participate in meetings, prepare reports, and present technical insights to team members and stakeholders.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, performance analysis, and optimization of digital engineering systems.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and adherence to best practices in software design and architecture.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools and software such as MATLAB, Simulink, Cameo, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and adapt as facts or decisions are determined.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
  • Experience in engineering, systems modeling, or software development (internships or academic projects acceptable).
  • Basic understanding of digital engineering concepts, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and systems lifecycle management.
  • Experience on a model-driven program that implemented Digital Engineering concepts.
  • Experience with creating technical documentation.
  • Familiar with Agile, CI/CD, Git, Gitlab, Microsoft coding tools.
  • Familiar with high-tech research and development projects.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
