Shockwave Medical, Inc., recently acquired by Johnson & Johnson, is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

Position Overview

The Digital Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the acceleration of our Data Strategy and Digital Capabilities, which are foundational to the success of how the Shockwave Digital Transformation will drive value for the business. He/she will play a central role in the coordination of data and visualizations, partnering closely with IT and multiple Operations business functions. The individual will be skilled at understanding the data needs of the supply chain and translating detailed business requirements into technical specifications. He/she will build business facing applications using tools such as Power BI or advanced UI software utilizing a curated data source.

This is a key digital team member reporting to the Director of Digital Strategy supporting the Shockwave Global Operations organization.

Essential Job Functions

Data Strategy

  • Work with business partners to understand data needs, identify source and translate those needs to the technical partners.
  • Develop strategy to digitize and ingest manual data across Shockwave & partner closely with key stakeholders on execution of that strategy
  • Develop roadmaps to drive delivery of advanced operations dashboard that provide new insight to key business partners.
  • Provide data input for digital solutions that are being launched across Shockwave.
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of data analysis processes.

Digital Capabilities

  • Translate complex business problems into the appropriate data and visualization requirements, then partner with IT to develop digital products that drive value for Shockwave.
  • Drive creation of advanced dashboards and visualization to created unique insight that drives value for business partners.
  • Support the deployment of digital best practices & methodology across the organization to upskill our business stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on digital trends and cloud strategies to advance on the Digital transformation.
  • Support deployments and upgrades of transactional system (i.e. ERP, MES, PLM) as a key team member representing digital and data needs job id


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree with a focus in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or another technical major is required.
  • MS in Operations Research, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant business experience, including:
  • 1 year of experience in one or more supply chain functions is required.
  • 2 years of relevant digital experience are required.
  • Experience in bridging technical and business disciplines with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
  • Solid acumen in digital technologies and their implications for the supply chain operations.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess data to inform business and technology decisions.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities with the capacity to prioritize effectively and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact and present to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Executions Systems (MES) or Master Data Management is highly preferred.
  • Experience with tools like Power BI, MS Power App, Oracle ERP, Tableau or Microsoft Azure, or Snowflake environment is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs.

Additional Information:

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $73,000 to $117,300 annually.
  • The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

    • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
    • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
    • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year
    • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
