ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS & LEARNING - VALUE & EVIDENCE SCIENTIFIC ENGAGEMENT

Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for an Associate Director, Strategic Communications & Learning (SC&L), part of the Scientific Affairs (SA) Value & Evidence Scientific Engagement (V&ESE) team, to be located in Titusville, NJ.

This position will be (onsite/hybrid) in Titusville, New Jersey. Alternate onsite/hybrid locations may be considered in Horsham, Pennsylvania

The Value & Evidence Scientific Engagement (V&ESE) organization, within SA engages with Population Health Decision Makers (PHDM) across the product lifecycle to share clinical and economic information about approved and investigational drug therapies, address potential impact on formulary and coverage decisions, treatment paradigms, and budgets, and enhance understanding of the value of innovation, health equity implications, and market dynamics.

Key accountabilities and/or activities of this position:

Create resources and shape strategies:

Drive and lead the timely development and approval of PHDM-centric resources supporting select Therapeutic Areas. Examples include: Evidence and Access Decks (EADs), pipeline decks, economic decks, and other proactive and reactive resources.

Build communication resources per FDA guidance, regulations, and J&J SOPs ensuring references are accurate and securing copyright approvals

Determine resource content, source and story flow based on PHDM needs and facilitate alignment across multiple partners to deliver an impactful communication resource

Adeptly navigate Copy Approval Committee concept review, submission, and approval processes

Shape communication strategies by ensuring insights/voice-of-customer and new data are considered throughout the development and maintenance of customer-facing materials

Collaborate regularly across Scientific Affairs, Strategic Customer Group (SCG), Medical Affairs, Research & Development, Commercial to ensure communication materials are accurate, effective, and consistent to medical strategy

Collaborate with V&ESE Field and SC&L therapeutic area leads to deliver efficient and impactful learning solutions

Coordinate V&ESE Field new hire training

Maintain learning curricula within the J&J learning management ecosystem (Xyleme, EdCast)

Understand, apply, and remain current in adult learning principles and virtual facilitation skills to develop and execute the most effective learning programs

Identify and solve for training gaps and develop to enhance employee performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals

Identify and execute projects that accelerate communication and learning and improve processes supporting V&ESE operations

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree is required

Advanced degree in a scientific field is preferred

Professional Experience:

3-5 years medical communications, writing, medical information, scientific research or related experience is required

3-5 years of meaningful experience in pharmaceutical industry is helpful

Experience in training/learning & development preferred

Good understanding of US health care system is required

Solid understanding of regulatory guidance and regulations related to conducting research and disseminating scientific information is preferred

Working knowledge of pharmaceutical strategies and tactics to meet both commercial and scientific objectives for a given product is preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to 235,750

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. •

This role may require up to 10% domestic travel and allows for hybrid/flexible work arrangement (based in Titusville, NJ).
