As an intern with JH, you can intern for summer, one semester, or join us year- round. Taking your school schedule into consideration, JH also offers flexible onsite schedules ranging from 20-40 hours a week.
IT Operations Intern
The IT Operations team maintaining the hardware and software systems within an organization. This includes configuring and updating software applications, employee devices, servers, databases, and other IT infrastructure. As an intern, you may assist the team with:
- Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support.
- Organize and maintain IT resources.
- Lend IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and data center management.
- Provide quality assurance through testing and implementation planning and is familiar with the usage of high quality software/website development practices
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program for Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other relevant course of study
- Intermediate knowledge of at least one major programming language (JavaScript, Python, PHP, etc.)
- Willingness and ability to learn new programming languages as requested
- Familiarity with SQL database usage and website development processes
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team
Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Must be within 2 years of graduating from current program/degree
- Must be enrolled in school part-time (summer enrollment is not required), or graduated no more than 6 months ago
