Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

Equipment engineers may evaluate, inspect, maintain, repair, design, analyze and improve various types of equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment. EE may have to work in different areas, such as electrical, mechanical or computer engineering.

Essential Job Duties:

(Specific responsibilities and tasks an individual would be expected to perform in the role. Additional job duties may be determined by functional people manager)

  • In addition to P1 Level:
  • Execute and present Equipment Qualification Reports
  •  Define Preventive Maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Define Startup Instructions of Equipment
  •  Provide feedback for operation of equipment for Manufacturing Process Instructions
  • Transfer new manufacturing lines or equipment, interface with logistics for movement of equipment.
  •  Participate in continuous improvement projects related to manufacturing equipment.
  •  Perform Hardware and Software updates of equipment.
  •  Generate and Submit ECOs
  •  Modify and improve Fixtures.
  •  Interface with external vendors for service, calibration or purchasing of equipment.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

(Specific skills, knowledge, and experience that an individual must possess in order to successfully perform in job)

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electronics Engineering or similar. 

• Minimum 3-year work experience as Equipment Engineer, Test Engineer, Automation Engineer, Tooling, Mechatronic or similar.

• Available to work 12-hour shifts (4x3)

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• English at an advanced level, read, written, and spoken.

• Demonstrated mechanical electronics aptitude.

• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex electronic/mechanical equipment.

• Blueprint reading and interpretation is a must.

• Knowledge and experience in use of special mechanical, electronics and measuring equipment.

• PLC programming, vision systems experience.

• 3D CAD proficiency, SolidWorks preferred.

• Able to travel periodically.

• Familiarity with regulated Quality Systems or medical device regulations, a plus. Required Education and Training (As applicable - Specific education and training that an individual must possess in order to successfully perform in job)

• Previous experience Maintenance software database preferable.

• Machining experience a plus.
