The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented Technical Writer to join our Product & Technology team. In this role, you will create comprehensive, engaging, and user-friendly documentation for both our external customers and internal teams. Your work will play a pivotal role in enhancing product understanding, adoption, and success.

Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Technical Writer will be responsible for developing and maintaining product documentation that caters to both external customers and internal stakeholders. This role will focus on creating clear, accurate, and visually appealing materials that simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, customer success, and sales teams to ensure documentation aligns with organizational goals and user needs.

Essential Functions/Duties

  • Create and maintain user manuals, release notes, API guides, FAQs, quick-start guides, knowledge base articles, and internal team documentation, such as training materials and process workflows.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, designers, and internal teams to gather detailed information and ensure the technical accuracy of content.
  • Tailor documentation to meet the needs of diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical users, both external customers and internal teams.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to Interos' branding and style guidelines, maintaining a consistent, professional tone across materials.
  • Regularly update documentation based on product changes, customer feedback, and evolving best practices.
  • Develop supporting visuals, such as diagrams, screenshots, and workflow charts, to enhance user understanding.
  • Assist internal teams by developing training and onboarding materials that enable effective team operations and product utilization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing for SaaS products or technology companies.
  • Basic understanding of SaaS, APIs, and related technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with supply chain management or risk management products.
  • Experience with Confluence
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles for documentation.

  • Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.
  • Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role. Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
  • Compensation range is base salary of $60,000-$120,000. The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
