Description

Intermex is seeking a Vice President of Infrastructure to architect, design, plan, organize, and ensure the stable operation of the company's IT infrastructure. This includes key functional areas of cloud operations, data center management, database systems, telecommunications, and audio-video technologies. This position will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software incidents in a timely and accurate fashion, with root cause analysis to mitigate future risk. The scope includes ensuring system availability, stability, resiliance, and scalability. Disaster recovery and business continuity are core to the responsibilities of this position. You will collaborate directly with the executive management team and decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, implement, and support cost-effective infrastructure technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This individual will manage, mentor, and guide a highly skilled team of engineers to achieve the vision, mission, and goals of the IT Infrastructure team. This role also assists with providing vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives across all areas of the organization, including acquisitions and expansions.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical vision and architectural leadership over public/private infrastructure, network, database, and unified communications practices in support of our business strategy and technology roadmap in a secure, scalable, and highly available manner.
  • Strong management and leadership skills including coaching, consensus building, and ability to effectively manage resources to address competing priorities.
  • Manages the design, development, integration, and administration of complex technical infrastructure systems, while ensuring security and data integrity standards are adhered to.
  • Responsible for leading Site Reliability, release management, and DevOps functions to ensure automated and controlled environment management.
  • Responsible for defining and managing a yearly operating budget including telecommunications/data, Cloud (Azure), network systems management/maintenance contracts with external Service Providers, and hardware/software purchases.
  • Strong strategic planning capabilities (approaches and processes tools deliverables) as well as experience with architecture frameworks.
  • Maintain an open dialogue and line of communication with the end-user community, especially the Contact Center, to be cognizant of, and ensure adequate telephony functionalities.
  • Perform gap analysis for future systems, identify and evaluate solutions and sourcing alternatives; develop high level designs and plans and prepare solution budget estimates and business cases.
  • Responsible for Contact Center as a Service, Unified Communication technologies, and video conferencing solutions.
  • Establishing, updating, and implementing IT-related policies and procedures, including those for disaster recovery, compliance, and standards.
  • Provide the leadership and direction needed to develop and maintain a high performance team environment that fosters innovation, automation, and continuous growth.
  • Serve as point of escalation review and approval for key issues, significant projects, and decisions related to network and infrastructure architecture.
  • Plan and manage the execution and implementation of the approved enterprise IT infrastructure projects.
  • Provide IT infrastructure metrics regarding performance, utilization, and compliance.
  • Monitor network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining the network infrastructure.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, information technology, or a related field.
  • Written and verbal Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • Contact Center Experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience working in a public company environment and management reporting with thorough understanding of Information Technology General Controls and reporting in a Sarbanes Oxley environment.
  • 10+ years as a leader of IT Infrastructure Services for a national, multisite organization preferably Contact Center industries; 3+ years working with public cloud services providers specifically Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated hands-on technical engineering or development role experience.
  • Previous hands-on distributed infrastructure experience and working knowledge of DevOps, Cloud provisioning, and managed services.
  • Ability to drive Cloud Architecture and Cloud Engineering practices in collaboration with Application owners, architects, and engineers.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft server and application technologies, routing/switching, storage, security, and enterprise networks including experience with cabling, unified communication technologies, Ethernet, LAN/WAN, wireless, TCP/IP and VoIP.
  • Experience with Scrum, Agile, Kanban practices and Azure DevOps software competency.
  • Ability to foster and build strong relationships and ability to communicate verbally to technical and non-technical audiences and at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, prioritizing, managing, and completing technology projects on time and within budget.
