Purpose of the Role:
In the role of a Principal Consultant, you will lead the engagement effort at different stages from problem definition to diagnosis to the solution design, development and deployment; contribute the unit-level and organizational initiatives with objective of providing high-quality and value-adding consulting services to the customers within the guidelines, norms and policies of Infosys.
  • Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Reviews & provide inputs to Account plans specific to delivery capabilities, execution of the delivery plan as given in the account plan, Provide Account level as well as DU level inputs to the operations team for the Unit business planning exercise IN ORDER TO make business plan more relevant and closer to reality
  • Review and provide delivery inputs on Master Services Agreement with customers, Review and approve Statement of Work(SOW) / LOE IN ORDER TO complete contractual requirements of work in the Delivery Unit
  • Review the scope, schedule, estimation, Quality Goals, Risk plan and resource plan IN ORDER TO successfully execute projects in the Delivery Unit
  • Provide Delivery Governance and be the escalation point for all project issues, conduct regular reviews and provide signoffs for projects on milestone / metrics reports to track the project performance against goals and take corrective measures if required. Review all phases of the project (Requirements gathering, Design, Architecture, Development, Testing, Implementation, and Warranty) on a regular basis and suggest corrective actions IN ORDER TO deliver projects successfully
  • Conduct regular Risk Assessment of projects and Mitigation Planning, Review of Potential / High Risk Projects and provide governance of complex engagements IN ORDER TO minimize and mitigate the risks for all the projects within the Delivery Unit
  • Skills /Competencies:
  • Essential Skills:
    • Degree in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
    • 12 years of experience in IT industry with 5 years of experience in Project/Program Management
    • Sound knowledge of telecom business processes
    • Knowledge of network inventory management, managing provisioning issues, network availability, & fault management.
    • Plan and assign work for installing, operating, and maintaining telecom network and equipment, such as routers, switches servers, and modem
    • Knowledge of WAN and LAN; Good understanding of routing protocols
  • Preferred skills
    • Understanding of the core technologies and platforms that underpin the infrastructure, such as servers, storage, networking, cloud, virtualization, security, and automation.
    • Familiar with the tools and methods for managing and monitoring the infrastructure, such as configuration management, performance analysis, backup and recovery, and incident response.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Excellent customer interfacing skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
    • High analytical skills, A high degree of initiative and flexibility
    • High customer orientation, High quality awareness
