Senior Operations Manager

Responsibilities

  • Manages relationships with telecom vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and resolving issues effectively.
  • Handle complex telecommunications invoices and complex vendor issues for clients.
  • Assist with new project setup to include billing.
  • Approve $5000 and above invoices processed for clients per month, which is approx. $2 Mn as per volume and $1.1 Mn for wireless.
  • Engage in daily training sessions with new team members, providing comprehensive instruction on various aspects of mobility services. Additionally, collaborated with the team on Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) initiatives, while also assisting new team members in landline services (i.e., ports, CSR's, remote call forwarding, etc.)
  • Focuses on landline services, handling billing, disconnects, troubleshooting, orders, and inventory clean-up.
  • Receive & process requests from Regional Managers for Telecom related goods and services and ensure that the appropriate internal paperwork is provided.
  • Review bids and quotes, using working knowledge of the contracting process.
  • Develop appropriate purchase order(s) for either Telecom related goods or services.
  • Ensure the proper delivery of the purchased goods and services.
  • Provide research support for sources of supply, quotation, purchase order issuance, delivery and invoice reconciliation as requested.
  • Assist with Accounts and Integration ISP Consolidation - Network/WAN accounts.
  • Assist with Carrier AVPNs disconnects of office consolidations and moves.
  • Assist Network team with creating Purchase Orders.
  • Work with Lead Global Network Management to learn all aspects of the Data Network Integration.

  • Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience related to the job description.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in various telecommunications systems, including voice, data, and video networks, PBX systems, VoIP, unified communications, and wireless technologies.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and overseeing telecommunications projects from initiation to completion, while adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in identifying and resolving telecommunications issues and network disruptions, employing analytical and troubleshooting skills to maintain uninterrupted services, creates and manages telecommunications budgets, analyzing cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing telecommunications expenses without compromising service quality.
  • In-depth knowledge of the ordering procedures, troubleshooting protocols, and billing systems of major US and international Carriers. Familiarity with their respective portals and tools
