Your Role
We are seeking a skilled OCI Infrastructure Administrator to design, implement, and maintain a secure and scalable Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in establishing OCI tenancy, security configurations, firewall policies, Splunk integration, CIS hardening, and golden image server configuration. This role requires deep technical expertise in OCI security, networking, and automation to ensure high availability, compliance, and optimal performance of cloud workloads.

Key Responsibilities
  • OCI Tenancy & Security Management: Configure and manage OCI tenancy, compartments, IAM policies, and access controls. Implement OCI security best practices to ensure a strong security posture.
  • Firewall & Network Security: Establish and manage OCI Firewall, Security Lists, and Network Security Groups (NSG). Secure OCI workloads with VCN, subnets, route tables, VPNs, and private/public connectivity.
  • Splunk Integration & Monitoring: Configure OCI logs, audit logs, and service logs for security and operational insights. Integrate OCI with Splunk for real-time monitoring and incident response.
  • CIS Hardening & Compliance: Conduct CIS (Centre for Internet Security) hardening for OCI workloads. Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC 2.
  • Golden Image Server Configuration: Develop and maintain golden images for consistent and secure server deployments. Automate image updates and enforce standardized OS and application configurations.
  • Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting: Optimize OCI infrastructure for scalability, cost efficiency, and performance. Identify and resolve OCI-related performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
  • Vulnerability Management : Familiarity with vulnerability management processes and tools (e.g., Tenable.io) for identifying and remediating security exposures
Key Knowledge Areas
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI): Strong understanding of OCI services, architecture, and best practices.
  • Security & Compliance: Experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and CIS benchmarks.
  • Networking: Proficiency in VCN, subnets, route tables, firewalls, VPNs, and security groups.
  • Logging & Monitoring: Hands-on experience integrating OCI logging with Splunk and configuring audit logs.
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Bash for cloud automation.
  • Golden Image Management: Knowledge of image creation, maintenance, and deployment best practices.
  • Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Ability to analyze logs, resolve security incidents, and optimize cloud resources.
Required Technical Skills
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI): Hands-on experience with tenancy management, IAM, networking, and security.
  • Firewall & Network Security: Expertise in OCI Firewall, Security Lists, and NSG policies.
  • Splunk Integration & Monitoring: Strong knowledge of OCI logs, audit logs, and monitoring tools.
  • CIS Hardening & Compliance: Experience ensuring compliance with CIS benchmarks and security best practices.
  • Golden Image Management: Experience in creating, managing, and automating OCI golden images.
  • Scripting & Automation: Strong skills in Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash for automation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing OCI infrastructure and security.
  • OCI Certifications (OCI Architect, Security, or Operations Associate/Professional) preferred.
  • Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud security is a plus.
