Infosys is looking for Network Engineer responsible for providing first level Smart Hands support to second level and third level support teams
Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Chandler, Arizona ( Phoenix Metropolitan region ) or Hillsboro, Oregon ( Portland region) or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider three year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• 4 years of experience in racking , stacking , connecting and providing basic configuration support of Networking devices like Routers, Switches, Chassis, Small Form factor switches and Access Points

• Managing Assets - RFID tagging, Storing , Inventorying, Moving, Decommissioning NW devices with defined procedures
• Working with Ticket Management systems preferably Service Now
• Experienced in Ethernet Switching H/W
• Chassis, Supervisor, Line Cards, Power Supplies etc
• Transceiver Types - SX, LX, SR, LR etc
• Cable Troubleshooting Knowledge / Experience
• Fluke Testers : Copper - Wire Map, Link Test etc, Fiber - OTDR Testing
• Fluke Aircheck : Wireless Testing
• Telephony H/W, Audio-Visual equipment's ( Cisco, Polycom etc)
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Analytical and communication skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

Role and Responsibilities (Not Limited to):
• Candidate will be part of onsite team and managing multiple team members including vendor resources for maintaining network environment by providing physical touch (Smart Hands) support for Incidents, Requests and Hardware Upgrades.
• He/she will be providing Incident support and working with remote Network Support Teams to resolve outages by troubleshooting and fixing issues including replacement of cabling or hardware components.
• He/she will be providing Service Request Support working with remote Network Support Teams to install hardware or patch cables to enable new services for customers.
• Candidate will participate in Hardware Upgrades requires racking of hardware, installation of required Fiber and Copper Patch Leads, Providing Console Access to Remote Team for configuration if required and testing connectivity after installation and configuration.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
