Role: Employment Counsel (f/m/d)

Location: The Netherlands
We are looking for an Employment Counsel to join our high calibre and friendly EMEA employment law team based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You can be based outside of Amsterdam, but you should be able to commute to the Amsterdam office from time to time as required.
You will work with the EMEA employment law team as well as the wider global employment law team on the full life cycle of employment law matters including but not limited to:
- Deal support and Acquired Rights Directive matters (employees automatic transfer) .
- Advising on day-to-day Dutch employment law matters and in other EMEA jurisdictions .
- Providing strategic employment law advice to the business.
- Managing various EMEA-wide cross border projects .
- Managing relationships with external counsels.
- Providing advice on compliance issues.
- Litigation.
- Compensation & Benefits Policy review and HR Policy review.
- Knowledge building.

Qualifications
It is essential that you are qualified to practice law in the Netherlands and that you can ideally demonstrate experience of advising across European jurisdictions. We are looking for someone who is flexible and motivated to deliver outcomes and with an ability to adapt and be pro-active in an ever-changing environment. Ideally you would have:
- 4+ years Post Qualification Experience (note this is a guide only and all candidates who can demonstrate the relevant skill set will be considered) with a focus on employment law.
- Ability to work in an international environment
- Previous international experience is a plus
- Some knowledge of TUPE/ARD automatic employees transfer in outsourcing deals (desirable but not essential)
- Previous in-house experience (desirable but not essential)
- A desire to expand knowledge and the confidence to coordinate legal assistance in employment law matters from other jurisdictions
- Fluent in English , both oral and written
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adjust your communication to the audience and provide clear, concise advice to stakeholders instead of using legalese.
