Role: Lead Consultant

The ITIL Release Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and control of software and hardware releases through various stages and environments, ensuring that they are delivered smoothly and efficiently into production. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ITIL processes, excellent project management skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
Experience
- Experience in release management, change management, or a similar role within an ITIL framework.
Area of responsibility
- Coordinate with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure successful releases.
- Develop and maintain release schedules, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project timelines.

- Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go reviews.
- Implement and manage the release process for code and configuration changes.
- Ensure all changes are documented, approved, and implemented in compliance with ITIL standards.
- Monitor and manage risks associated with release activities.
- Plan and manage all aspects of the end-to-end release process.
- Identify opportunities to improve release management processes and implement best practices.
- Analyze release metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement in the release process.
- Act as the central point of contact for all release activities.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, development teams, and operations.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on release status, issues, and progress.
- Maintain release management documentation, including policies, procedures, and templates.
- Conduct post-release reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of support documentation for new releases.
Competencies:
- ITIL Foundation Certification is required.
- ITIL Intermediate Release, Control, and Validation (RCV) certification is preferred.
- Proven experience managing complex software and hardware releases.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously.
- Proficient in release management tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
