This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition, and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high-quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.   • Candidate must be located within commuting distance in Ottawa, ON, or Mississauga, ON to be willing to relocate to the area
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or foreign equivalent. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Design custom components, implementation, testing and deployment of enterprise-scale Drupal web application.
  • Work within cross-functional teams (Developers, Product managers, Designers and Accessibility) to build visual designs and their Drupal implementations.
  • Visualize ideas, concepts and communicate them effectively with team and customer.
  • Work with others to refactor and implement complex functionality using Drupal core and custom modules.
  • Experience in Drupal 10 for designing and creating effective user experience.
  • Share knowledge and assist with training other developers.
  • Think creatively and demonstrates the ability to work independently on a complex task with little direction, supervision, and management oversight.
  • Developer should have at least 2 years of experience developing with PHP, HTML, XML, CSS, JQuery, SOAP/REST web services.
  • Experience developing with Drupal or other content management frameworks, including demonstrated custom module development and theming.
  • Experience in building and using Drush commands
  • Experience in YML scripts and TWIG templating.
  • Experience and knowledge on Drupal REST API, Composer
  • Good understanding of Drpual configurations - Views, Menus, Content Management etc.
  • Must have experience in building site, themes and custom module in Drupal 10.
  • Knowledge and experience in Drupal upgrade
  • Working knowledge of a variety of production tools, technologies, and techniques for design and development, including IDEs, source control, build tools and testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of usability/accessibility standards of user interface development in order to produce code compliant for Section 508 accessibility; may work with development tools that aid in this process.
  • Work experience with GIT as developer.
  • Work experience with more than one relational database management system, including MySQL.
Security Clearance:
The candidate should have a Security Clearance (Enhanced Reliability Status) from the Government of Canada or have been a resident of Canada for 5 continuous years.
