Infosys is seeking a Golang developer. This position's primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best-practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Basics Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
Must have skills:
  • Demonstrable expertise in Golang, including a deep understanding of its syntax, advanced features, and standard library. Familiarity with Go routines and channel patterns, as well as experience in writing high-performance Go code.
  • Experience working with C, C++ programs, analyze C programs, document the functionalities, and use it as input to design and develop Golang routines.
  • Ability to write concurrent programs in Go, with a strong understanding of threading, synchronization, and non-blocking I/O.
  • Experience in writing unit and integration tests in Go, using tools like GoTest. Familiarity with debugging tools and performance profiling.
  • Experience with Go frameworks and tools like Gorilla, GORM, and Revel.
  • Proficiency in integrating with various databases, both SQL (like PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (like MongoDB, CosmosDB). Understanding of ORM tools and experience in writing efficient queries.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience working with the Go programming language.
  • Experience in software development life cycle.
  • Experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance/Production Support projects.
  • Experience in Design and architecture review.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
