We are looking for a Business Analyst- Energy System & Market Operation with overall 8-10 years of experience as a business Analyst in Utilities sector covering grid planning, grid operations and market operations.

Job Role- Business Analysis- Energy System & Market Operations
Salary Range- 108571- 119893 AUD Total Gross
Please Note:- The above salary range is only indicative and maybe subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Identify key stakeholders and understand their priorities and business needs to manage their expectations.
  • Translate complex business requirements into functional requirements, and ensure these are reflected in the solution architecture, necessary customizations, and integrations.
  • Facilitate workshops sessions with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, validate processes, and ensure alignment between the solution and business goals.
  • Lead and own responsibility for providing functional and non-functional analysis to enable the key business needs to be translated into technical specifications
  • Ability to develop business processes and relevant use cases to be aligned with the business capabilities for stakeholders
  • Should be able to understand As-Is and create To-Be business processes, Use Cases and document the same.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, including a proven ability to quickly analyze and develop data models, identify patterns, business rules, workflows and interfaces
  • Pursue for approvals and agreement with the stakeholders identified.
  • Experience working in a utility environment, interfacing with OT-IT systems, and understanding the unique challenges of electric utilities.
  • Participate in Review of Test cases
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing
Skill / Competencies / Experience:
ESSENTIAL
  • Strong knowledge in - Energy System planning, real-time operation and market operations.
  • Exposure and hand-on with COTS products and solutions used in the ISO/DSO industry (eg: Grid SCADA/WAMS/AEMS/AGC)
  • Strong understanding and skillsets to perform the energy system modelling compliant with CIM standards.
  • Understanding of business-as-usual and emergency scenarios to differentiate in solutioning and functional architectural needs
  • Strong knowledge in products and solutions used for generation dispatch and scheduling, state estimation, contingency analysis, system adequacy and planning. Real-time monitoring and control operations
  • Strong knowledge and working experience in renewable, DERs, grid modernization and emerging utility technologies and its impact on the system operation and planning
PREFERRED Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with project execution methodologies, including both Waterfall and Agile.
    Should have excellent leadership skills to lead assessment workshops, and work with other stakeholders
Qualification and Background
  • Bachelor' Degree / Master's degree in electrical/Electronics/Power System Engineering
  • 8-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Electric Utility Sector covering energy system generation, transmission and market operations and familiar with enterprise architecture, integration solutions, business analysis, and project delivery in the utility industry.
