Your role and responsibilities

As a Delivery Consultant, you will work closely with IBM clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with your clients' goals. In this role, you'll work closely with clients and sellers to build solutions based on meeting the client's business outcomes using best practice patterns for the technology and industry.

You will also apply your technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills, such as problem-solving issue- / hypothesis-based methodologies, communication, and service orientation skills. As a member of IBM Technology Expert Labs, a client-focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical team, you'll collaborate with clients to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.

  • End-to-end Technical Guidance: Providing expert end-to-end technical guidance to lead discovery discussions with clients, assess project architecture needs, and work with technical leads and sellers to create proposals.
  • Solving Client Challenges Effectively: Understanding clients' main challenges and developing solutions that help them reach true business value by working through the phases of design, development integration, implementation, migration, and product support with a sense of urgency.
  • Agile Planning and Execution: Creating and executing agile plans where you are responsible for installing and provisioning assets, testing, migrating to production, and day-two operations.
  • Building Successful Relationships: Establishing and maintaining personal relationships at all levels - from engineers to CIOs - with experience navigating challenging debates to reach healthy resolutions.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Designing watsonx Architectural Topology: A provable track record of conducting requirement definition and scoping sessions with customers, particularly in communicating prerequisites, Cluster sizing and Service delineation.
  • Planning, Documenting, and Sizing watsonx Services: A provable track record of planning, documenting, and sizing, including physical implementation requirements that connect phases such as design, development, integration, migration, production support, and development operations, as well as administration.
  • watsonx platform Engineering: Cluster pre-setup, installation, and post-setup are based on architectural topological design.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Data & AI Technology Expertise: Experience working with architecting and installing a broad spectrum of Data & AI technology solutions, including AI platforms and AI governance tooling, preferably watsonx.governance watsonx.data or watsonx.ai.
  • Agile methodology experience: Good understanding of Agile, collaborative methodology to design, configure, deploy, and maintain systems.
  • Cloud technology implementation: Experience implementing cloud technology across complex projects.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
