AI will play a key role in improving the support experience for our clients. This position will help develop an understanding of how AI can transform the customer support experience through a human-centered approach. Areas of investigation using AI will range from designing more insightful, proactive and predictive monitoring, to delivering delightful AI assistant experiences for clients, support agents, and other users.

As a budding team, you will be part of shaping the direction of design in TLS and making a mark on highly valued and anticipated solutions.

Your Role and Responsibilities
UX designers specialize in creating seamless and enjoyable user experiences through careful planning, wireframing, prototyping, and testing. They are experts in information architecture, user interaction, intuitive workflows, and content prioritization. UX designers strive to build products that not only function effectively but also provide meaningful and engaging experiences for users.

• Work closely with stakeholders, design professionals, and others in a cross-functional team to define requirements and develop the solutions for IBM clients
• Assist with user research, integrating findings with business requirements to transform the user's mental model into the user interface or experience
• Communicate the intended experience through artifacts such as concept maps and models, storyboards, mockups, wireframes, taxonomies, workflows and design specifications
• Clearly document designs for development implementation
• Utilize various cognitive techniques to evaluate user interfaces with end users to refine the UI to ensure it complements the user's task, environment, profile and needs
• Promote user centered design principles and best practice across the organization

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Education or experience in UX design
• Experience developing user requirements, user scenario's, user stories, etc.
• Experience with Enterprise Design Thinking by IBM and workshop facilitation and coaching
• Candidates for this role should excel at advocating for the user, while communicating ideas and experiences to a wide variety of audiences
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, confident working within a cross-functional team and various levels
• Interest in areas such as customer service, product and service design, and AI
• Portfolio of recent and relevant examples of hands-on experience in digital UX design projects
• Fluent English language skills
