Your Role and Responsibilities: as a Senior IMS developer, you will be a key contributor to the development and maintenance of the IMS product on the z/OS platform. You will lead work on the design, coding, and testing of features that enhance the functionality and performance of IMS, addressing both current and future client needs. Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Support, Performance, and System Verification, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 10+ years of:
- Object-Oriented programming
- Java Application Development including functional and regression testing
- Python application development
- Working with Linux or UNIX systems
shell scripting - Git source control management
- Understanding of Agile development methodology
- Experience with IBM z/OS operating system (ISPF/TSO)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- 3 + years experience with: - Restructured Extended Executor language (REXX)
- Job Control Language (JCL)
- Automation with Ansible
- C/C++ programing languages
- Linux or UNIX development
- CI/CD with Tekton -PL/1 programming language
- Generative AI prompt engineering
