IBM CIO Network Engineering organization has multiple exciting opportunities for a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of SD-WAN with a proven ability to solve complex problems and drive technology transformations. A strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to understand and address user problems are essential, ensuring that solutions enhance the overall user experience. Your role and responsibilities

• Lead, design and implement network solutions to support global business operations.

• Configure and maintain routing ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

• Provide Last Level of Support to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, providing advanced support for network-related incidents.

• Lead and participate in network transformations, driving improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize existing infrastructure.

• Work with open hardware network platforms, leveraging open-source solutions where applicable.

• Automate network tasks using scripting and controllers to enhance operational efficiency.

• Customer-focused approach, with the ability to understand user problems and deliver solutions that enhance End user experience and application performance.

• Operate with a "One Team" mindset, fostering collaboration and alignment across all teams and stakeholders.

• Ability to support a global network footprint, with availability to address critical issues outside of standard business hours when necessary.

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

Expected Skills:

• Proven Enterprise experience with SD-WAN technologies.

• Experience with Prisma / Palo Alto Firewalls

• Experience in driving technology transformations, with a focus on network performance, security, and scalability.

• Experience in scripting languages, software defined network automation, SDN controllers for network automation tasks.

• Proven Experience in creation and delivery of High-Level Design and Low-Level Design solutions.

• Experience in making standardized template driven configurations.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.

• Testing and assessment of tech. designs and solutions in remote lab environment, and verification for enterprise deployment.

Other/Preferred Skills:

• Certifications from vendors such as Cisco or Juniper are highly preferred.

• Experience with open hardware network platforms is a plus.

• Occasional on-call coverage during Weekends to support internal Teams in case of high severity incidents.

• Flexible working hours based on Business Demand (Global Team Meetings, Change Implementation outside of business hours)
