We support clients' IBM and multi-vendor infrastructure, providing a simple support execution using AI as a delivery backbone across the diverse IT landscape. We enable highly available and secure environments for our clients, ensure their IT goals are achieved with project services, and deepen insights into their environments (including proactive views) with Support Insights while using AI to drive outcomes efficiently. In accomplishing this, we grow our client mindshare, thus growing our market capture, and advance clients hybrid cloud (IBM's mission 1) and AI (IBM's mission 2) journeys.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure projects involving IBM AIX, Linux, IBM servers, and storage and other infra devices like networks, Intel servers, etc.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
  • Drive the technical architecture design and validation for solutions involving IBM Power Systems and Storage technologies.
  • Provide oversight during solution implementation, ensuring alignment with architectural best practices and security standards.
  • Perform high-level assessments, capacity planning, and impact analysis to ensure infrastructure scalability and performance.
  • Manage risks, track milestones, and ensure timely resolution of issues and blockers.
  • Guide cross-functional technical teams, ensuring alignment on architectural direction and project goals.
  • Support migration, upgrade, and integration efforts involving AIX and Linux platforms.
  • Collaborate with networking, security, and application teams to ensure complete and cohesive infrastructure solutions.
  • Produce and maintain architectural artifacts such as diagrams, runbooks, and configuration documentation.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • IBM AIX administration (v7.x), LPAR configuration, and PowerVM virtualization
  • Linux OS administration (RHEL/SUSE), including shell scripting and patch management
  • IBM Power Systems hardware (P-series), HMC configuration, and system deployment
  • IBM Storage technologies: DS Series, V7000, FlashSystems, SAN configuration and zoning
  • Basic knowledge of networking: VLANs, IP addressing, routing, and firewall concepts
  • Strong experience managing enterprise-level infrastructure transformations and upgrades.
  • Ability to lead hybrid teams (onsite, remote, vendors) and drive consensus across technical and business teams.
  • Proficient in using project management tools like MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver under tight timelines and within complex, regulated environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-able to interact effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues under pressure.
  • High level of organizational skills and customer-focused mindset, committed to delivering high-quality solutions and continuous improvement
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable plans for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • IBM Certified System Administrator - AIX
  • IBM Certified Specialist - Power Systems or Storage
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or shell/Python scripting.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and business continuity practices.
  • Understanding of hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure).
  • Exposure to compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, GDPR, etc.) in infrastructure planning.
  • Experience working in industries such as banking, telecom, or government sectors is a plus.
