Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Practice Manager, you will work closely with IBM clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with your clients' goals. As a member of IBM Technology Expert Labs, a team that is client focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical, you'll collaborate with clients to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.

As a Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of services for a consulting domain ensuring achievement of business and engagement goals, including schedules, client satisfaction and profitability objectives.
You understand client needs and objectives and formulate solution design for proposals with an eye towards starburst opportunities.
You provide consulting to client IT and Business Executives who are responsible for managing and delivering IT related services by helping to define business drivers and associated IT capabilities and services as required.
You build technically focused team of consultants, and responsible for practice leadership and growth. Provides business direction to team along with administrative and operational required activities.

  • Delivery Excellence - Client Satisfaction on all projects within Pillar. Quick resolution of all client satisfaction issues and escalation as necessary. Go To Green Plans.
  • Client Value - Collaboration with Sales to ensure services delivered meet value for the client and participate in Solution Review Board meetings
  • Building Effective Relationships - Developing successful relationships at all levels -from engineers to CxOs-with experience of navigating challenging debate to reach healthy resolutions.
  • Self-Motivated Problem Solver - Demonstrating a natural bias towards self-motivation, curiosity, initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication - Strong collaboration and communication skills as you work across the client, partner, and IBM team.

    Key Requirements:
  • Leadership: Develops and implements product, market, business, or technology strategies with executive review. Has vision of overall strategies. Contributes to policy making. Recognized as an expert and leader by members of a field, related functions, and multi -country organizations. Leads business unit, country, or international teams, conducts special projects, or manages functions or strategic departments.
  • Environment: Business unit, country, or international professional mastery related to operations, strategies, and objectives in leading edge or critical situations.
  • Communication/Negotiation: Teamwork at highest levels. Plan and conduct complex negotiations reaching lasting agreements and commitments.
  • Problem Solving: Anticipate, create and define innovative and visionary concepts in strategic environment.
  • Client-facing experience, preferably with an organization serving mission-critical operations
  • Proven Project Management skills to provide implementation schedules while adhering to company's architectural standards and principles
  • Proven leadership skills

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A minimum of 5 - 10 years' Leadership experience
  • A minimum of 5 - 10 years' Delivery experience
  • A minimum of 5 - 10 years' experience in a client-facing role

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Preferred field of study: Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant technical field
