Job Summary
Sr. Practice Managers are responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, growth, and operational management of a specific practice area. You will lead a team of consultants, drive business development initiatives, and ensure the delivery of high-quality consulting services. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the consulting industry.
As a Senior Manager in Cloud Security, you will lead the development and implementation of client cloud security strategies, ensuring solutions are robust and compliant with industry standards. You'll conduct risk assessments, provide expert client consultation, and oversee cloud security projects from planning through delivery. Your role includes managing incident response efforts, delivering training on best practices, and staying updated on the latest trends to continually enhance cloud security measures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive cloud security strategies and policies that align with organizational goals and industry best practices. Provide leadership and direction to security teams and stakeholders.
- Oversee the design and deployment of robust cloud security solutions tailored to client needs. Ensure these solutions integrate effectively with existing cloud environments and address security challenges.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of cloud environments to identify and mitigate security threats and vulnerabilities. Implement strategies to enhance overall cloud security posture.
- Act as the primary advisor for clients on cloud security matters. Provide expert recommendations, guide cloud security initiatives, and ensure solutions meet client requirements and compliance standards.
- Ensure cloud security practices adhere to relevant regulations and standards (such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS). Assist clients in achieving and maintaining compliance through audits and assessments.
- Manage and oversee cloud security projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Lead and support incident response efforts for security breaches and issues in cloud environments. Develop and implement incident response plans and remediation strategies.
- Develop and deliver training programs for clients and internal teams on cloud security best practices, tools, and technologies. Foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with evolving cloud security trends, technologies, and threats. Continuously evaluate and enhance security solutions and practices to address emerging challenges and opportunities.
Delivery Functions:
- Develops and executes strategic plans to grow the practice area, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and client targeting.
- Identifies new business opportunities and cultivates relationships with prospective clients to expand the practice portfolio.
- Leads and mentors a team of consultants, providing guidance on project assignments, skill development, and career growth.
- Fosters a collaborative and high-performance culture within the practice team.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and aligning consulting services to address business challenges.
- Ensures client satisfaction through proactive communication, issue resolution, and delivery of value-added solutions.
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the practice, including resource allocation, project oversight, and financial performance.
- Ensures operational efficiency, profitability, and adherence to quality standards and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Related Field required and
Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) Related Field preferred - A minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in a related field required
- 10+ years of experience in consulting or a related industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing consulting practices.

- Works with minimal direction toward predetermined long-range goals. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Determines and pursues courses of action essential in obtaining desired results. Takes calculated risks.
