Your Role and Responsibilities
L3 Software Support and Development Engineer to be integral part of a team responsible for Product Development of PowerVC product on Power. Analysing the customer defects, root causing the issues, collaborating with dev, test and customers to resolve the issues is the core responsibility. Owning the iFix delivery process and ensuring high ratings for customer satisfaction is the key goal. Opportunity to directly work with customers, get a deep understanding of their configurations and collaborate with the leads to get the concerns/issues addressed. Deliver code fixes to the GA'd releases is the primary work item.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum 5-7 years in software support role
Software Engineering and Development (debug)
Programming lang: python, Ansible, ReactJS,
Part-time duties include: Plan, track, and lead tasks (such as a support ticket); deliver the expected outcome in a timely manner.
• Oversee multiple tasks and ensure targets are met
• Allocate resources as necessary to ensure success for all business requirements.
• Ensure developed plans and processes are followed
• Manage interfaces between the engineering team and other teams in the company to ensure smooth and effective relationships ( such as different levels of support)
• Recognize problems early before they constrain project teams.
• Planning, staffing, estimating, tracking and reporting status of tasks. Report status to upper management.
• Report to manager, any variances from the target completion date of the tasks, or that the tasks cannot be completed.
• Demonstrate initiative with learning new technologies, such as Cloud
fluent in English

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Systems programming on Linux, Red Hat
Preferred domain expertise in Virtualization on IBM Power Hardware Systems
Experience working on OpenStack
