Your Role and Responsibilities
The Performance Analyst is an integral part of development team that is responsible for participating in the execution of procedures for ensuring the performance, scalability and quality of new features and releases of software. To achieve this, the Performance Analyst will be required to plan, create, and execute performance tests and interact with quality and development engineers. The Performance Analyst will perform the assessment, planning and execution of experiments required for new functions/features under development; provide consultation to the development teams in resolution of complex problems; develop new approaches, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing code, performance testing methodologies and processes.

The candidate will be working as an integral part of Performance Engineering Team and expected to be able to work in harmony with other team members towards deliverables in an efficient manner.
Watsonx Code Assistant is an exciting new offering from IBM that aims to revolutionize enterprise software development with Generative AI. We are seeking your expertise, motivation, and collaboration to take Watsonx Code Assistant to the next level.

Responsibilities include:
  • Evaluate system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and develop appropriate resolutions.
  • Define, develop, and conduct system performance and stress testing.
  • Analyze experiment results, present them, and suggest action plans.
  • Read the software code, architectural diagrams, and documentation to understand how the system should behave and assess whether it is the case or not.
  • Create and execute performance test plans, test cases and scripts.
  • Report results to Development, Product Management, and Customer Support in a clear manner.
  • Develop custom automation and tooling.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support and Development Teams to understand/reproduce field issues.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Familiarity with AI, large language models (LLM), resource configurations, and GPU usage.
  • Experience with cloud services like IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python, and other relevant languages.
  • Ability to work with Linux/Kubernetes, monitoring commands, access commands and shell scripting both on appliance and in cloud.
  • Aggressively addresses and resolves problems, and actively improves processes, products, and/or services and provide visibility on the progress
