Introduction

Highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Professional to manage payroll operations for China, Hongkong and Taiwan. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while complying with all relevant local regulations and tax requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP payroll principles, experience with international payroll, and excellent communication skills.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing: Manage the end-to-end payroll process for China, Hongknong and Taiwan, including data input, calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes, and timely disbursement of payments.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date on all applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements in China and Taiwan, ensuring payroll practices adhere to these standards. Monitor changes in legislation and implement necessary updates to payroll procedures.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including personal information, compensation details, and tax withholding information. Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Reconciliations: Perform regular payroll reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies. Prepare and submit payroll reports as required.
  • Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and tax-related matters. Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency. Recommend and implement best practices.

  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects as assigned, such as system implementations, process improvements, or compliance initiatives

Required technical and professional expertise

Minimum 7+ years of experience as Payroll professional or related.

In-Depth Knowledge of Local Labor Laws and Regulations
Payroll Software Proficiency: Familiarity with payroll software commonly used in each region (e.g., SAP, SF & ECP) is essential.

Deep understanding of the tax systems in each region, including individual income tax, corporate tax, and any special tax regulations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with employees, management, and government agencies

Capacity to resolve payroll issues efficiently and accurately.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Familiarity with payroll software commonly used in each region (e.g., SAP, SF & ECP) is essential.
