Introduction
Position Summary, Mission
Project management for contract processing of long-term comprehensive contracts with customers called OIO (IBM Open Infrastructure Offering Agreement) and IBM IT Sourcing Agreement.

Majority of customers are in the major financial, insurance and manufacturing industries.

All products and services handled by IBM are covered.

Most of the contracts are direct sales contracts, but there are cases where we collaborate with Kyndryl and business partners.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Business Description
Collaborate with the sales person in charge of the customer and the sales person in charge of the product to explain the details of the contract to the customer, negotiate, and adjust the schedule.

Collaborate and coordinate with internal product and service sales to close contracts in accordance with planned contract schedules, support configuration and price adjustments, prepare proposals, and manage schedules.
Prepare documents for contract preparation using MS Excel and Powerpoint, obtain internal exception approvals, prepare contracts in collaboration with business departments, present prepared contracts, and follow up on contract execution.

Provide contract maintenance and management services to clients (e.g., providing documents including past contract history).

Utilize your sales experience and knowledge of the company's business to build long-term relationships with the customers you are responsible for.
Gain extensive knowledge of IBM's full range of services and products.
Work with a team of sales and operations staff to support customers, rather than as an individual.
Work and vacation time can be easily adjusted depending on the customer's contract schedule.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Sales experience
  • Communication skills
  • Teamwork oriented and able to actively contribute to others
  • Native level of Japanese

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge and experience in internal direct sales operations and processes
  • Experience in partner business
  • Ability to take on new challenges without being restricted by conventional sales activities.
  • Communication skills (ability to explain rationale based on logical thinking)
  • Experience in proposal writing and presentation skills
