Introduction

We're seeking an experienced Performance Engineer to optimize the IBM Consulting Advantage (ICA) Platform and various assistants and assets that the platform hosts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system performance tuning, cloud infrastructure optimization, and DevOps practices.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of performance engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Conduct process performance benchmarks and implement process improvements.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for performance architecture initiatives, including resource allocation, prioritization, and risk management.
• Conducting load testing and stress analysis for ICA and its various assistants and assets
• Come up with scaling strategies for various workloads running in the platform

• 15+ years of professional experience; 10+ years in Performance Engineering role as a Lead/Architect
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in performance engineering, such as Java, Python, or C++
• Performance and Load Testing: Experience with Performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling to evaluate the scalability and performance of applications. Ability to simulate High traffic conditions and analyse performance bottlenecks.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like New Relic, Instana, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques, including caching, queuing, and parallel processing.

• Agile Project Management Tools: Proficiency with Agile Project Management tools (e.g., GitHub, ZenHub, JIRA), including the ability to utilize these tools for project tracking and management
• Industry Experience: Knowledge of industry-specific challenges and trends, AI , Technology consulting or other related fields enabling the development of tailored productivity measurement strategies that address unique industry needs.
• Certifications: Relevant certification related to performance engineering.
