Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Digital Technical Specialist aligned to Automation brands, you will be a collaborative technical expert and trusted advisor working with and across your clients, IBM's broader sales teams, and Business Partners. You will understand clients' business and technical requirements within the current competitive landscape and, combining this with your knowledge of IBM's product suite, you will present value-driving solutions that compel clients to invest in us.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Technical Leadership in Sales Opportunities: Serve as an automation expert, providing strong technical leadership in sales opportunities.
- Early Sales Support: Offer technical support in the initial stages of sales, including conducting demos, creating proofs of concept, and facilitating workshops for various clients.
- Collaborative Territory Management: Collaborate using multiple tools and techniques with IBM sales teams and specialists to effectively manage territories and identify sales opportunities.
- Competitive Advantage: Demonstrate the value and advantages of the product over competitors.
- Digital Brand Building: Build a strong personal brand across digital platforms such as social media, forums, and blogs to establish trust, expertise, and credibility.
- Must be able to work on-site 3 days/week
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Effective Communication and Relationship-Building: Successful communication and relationship-building in enterprise and SMB environments.
- Pre-Sales Expertise: Experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, or consulting, collaborating with client subject matter experts to scope and demo solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills and a passion for Automation technologies.
- Sales Success: Track record of success in Technology Sales.
- Ability to be on-site for 3 Days/Week
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Automation Market Expertise: Demonstrating expertise in the Automation market and establishing trust as a valued advisor for clients (training on IBM's Automation offerings will be provided)
- Cloud, networking, infrastructure and API experience
