In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Back-End Developer to join our team and contribute to the creation of robust and scalable solutions. The professional will be responsible for developing APIs, implementing design patterns and working with modern technologies such as Java EE, Node.js and SQL/NoSQL databases. If you have experience in back-end development and want to work on challenging projects using cloud computing, this opportunity is for you!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain back-end systems using Java EE and frameworks such as Spring and Apache Camel.
- Work with Node.js and TypeScript (desirable) to create modern APIs, including GraphQL with Apollo Server.
- Implement good development practices, such as Design Patterns, TDD (Test-Driven Development) and DDD (Domain-Driven Design).
- Managing code versioning using GitHub.
- Working with SQL (PostgresQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Collaborating on projects using Cloud Computing (IBM Cloud, Azure or AWS).
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- Solid experience in back-end development with Java EE.
- Knowledge of frameworks such as Java Spring and Apache Camel.
- Experience with SQL (PostgresQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Familiarity with Design Patterns, TDD and DDD.
- Code versioning skills using GitHub.
- Knowledge of one or more cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, Azure or AWS).
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Express or Apollo Server (GraphQL).
- Knowledge of IDEs such as IntelliJ and Visual Studio Code.
- Certifications in cloud computing or development frameworks.
